Full Time: Hull City 0-0 Portsmouth. The game ends goalless and Portsmouth will breath a sigh of relief despite almost snatching the victory with Hreidarsson's header. Hull will be disappointed but a draw is a fair result.
91mins
Kanu holds the ball up well on the edge of the Hull box as he awaits support which comes in the form of Belhadj. Kanu finds the Algerian but the cross is way too deep and Hull bring the ball away.
90mins
Three minutes of stoppage time. Will it be time enough for one of these sides to pinch a priceless three points?
88mins
Hull need to play with more urgency and quality in the dying minutes. Mendy picks the ball up on the right and drives in field and strikes from the edge of the box but drags it well wide.
85mins
Sam Ricketts is sacrificed for Caleb Folan as Phil Brown throws on another striker in the hope of stealing a winner.
84mins
Portsmouth will want to keep the ball for as much as possible in the closing minutes but with Belhadj on the wing the visitors will be dangerous on the break.
83mins
Marney picks up the ball just outisde the centre circle and fires a ball into Dawson on the flank in space but the full-back slips and the ball goes into touch. It's been one of those days today.
81mins
The replays seem to suggest that Johnson could have done very little to get out of Marney's way but Portsmouth are down to ten. Can Hull make the extra man count?
80mins
I can't say it hasn't been coming. Glen Johnson finally sees red as he brings down Dean Marney. Chris Foy had little option with Johnson having committed several fouls after being booked.
78mins
A moment of panic in the Hull box as a ball in from Belhadj is left by Turner but fell short of Duke who had to react quickly to race forward and gather the ball.
76mins
Nadir Belhadj is coming on in place of Niko Kranjcar who has played well today. Belhadj could just provide the spark and energy to win Portsmouth the game.
74mins
Nicky Barmby comes off for Dean Marney as Hull manager Phil Brown looks to inject some fresh legs to try and take the three points.
72mins
Glen Johnson again could have been dismissed as he is penalised for a foul on substitute Kilbane but I think a second booking for that would have been a touch harsh.
71mins
Kevin Kilbane enters the action as Craig Fagan is withdrawn. Fagan did take a knock earlier in the game but he doesn't appear to be injured.
69mins
The home side have been on top in the second half but the tide is starting to turn and the concern is etched on the faces of the Hull City supporters.
65mins
Kranjcar picks the ball up on the flank and steps past Dawson to fire the ball across the danger zone but none of the Portsmouth forwards gamble on the ball and it races through for a goal kick.
64mins
David Nugent makes way for Nwankwo Kanu who will add to the height of Peter Crouch upfront for the visitors.
63mins
An excellent chance for the Tigers as a mistake from Sol Campbell saw the ball break for Fagan who tried to find the corner but a sprawling save from James denied Hull an opener.
60mins
Pressure from Hull as Geovanni whips in a good cross but noone in black and amber can get a head to it. The ball falls for Ashbee on the edge of the box but he skews his shot wide.

Geovanni rolls the ball into the feet of Manucho but he is out muscled by the combination of Distin and Campbell who have dominated the Angolan physically today.

The second half has started at a fairly slow tempo but at least the fans can enjoy the sunshine.

Peter Crouch is booked for petulantly kicking the ball away.

A pass threaded beautifully through the Portsmouth defence from Ashbee and Fagan races onto it and skips past James but is forced wide. Fagan is forced to cross but can only pick out the keeper.
46mins
The second half gets underway.
45mins
Halftime: Hull City 0-0 Portsmouth. A fairly even game with chances few and far between. Hull have shaded the possession but can't craft a clear cut chance while Kaboul will feel he should have given Portsmouth the lead with a header from close range
41mins
Mendy again links up with Manucho as he slides the ball towards the Angolan on the edge of the box. Manucho strikes with his left-foot but he sends it well wide and turns away in disgust.
39mins
Manucho rises well to head Matt Duke's clearance into the path of Mendy who twists and turns to try and find a route past Hreidarsson but the defender holds his ground and wins the ball.
35mins
Ashbee concedes a corner dispossessing Johnson. The corner is floated in by Kranjcar and Kaboul rose well but he couldn't keep the header down and it drifted over the bar.
32mins
Zayatte makes a good surging break from midfield and works the ball to Dawson on the right. The full-back whips in a low cross to the front-post but all of the attackers had moved to the far, and James picks up the ball.
28mins
Hull have a corner now and are completely on top of Portsmouth at the moment. They need to make one of these set plays count but again the delivery is dealt with by David James to the groans of disappointment from the home fans.
27mins
Geovanni wins another free-kick as he turns inside Kranjcar but replays suggest he went down rather easily. Geovanni whips the ball in from wide but James comes off his line confidently to punch clear the danger.
24mins
The home fans are screaming for a red card after Johnson chops down Geovanni and if he hadn't just been booked I am certain it would have earned him a yellow card. Johnson's a lucky boy and Campbell has a calming word in his ear.
23mins
An altercation with Zayatte earns Glen Johnson a booking. A needless booking to pick up but Chris Foy rightfully punishes Johnson's petulant complaints.
21mins
Barmby slides the ball to Mendy on the right hand side and the cross is perfect for Manucho breaking into the box. The Angolan takes on the shot first time but he fires it just wide with his right-foot.

There is a real sense of anticipation at the KC everytime the Brazillian Geovanni gets on the ball.

An opportunity for Hull from a free-kick just inside the right touch line. Dawson delivers towards the back post but the Portsmouth defence to well to usher Geovanni away from goal when he picked up the ball and eventually the chance comes to nothing

First chance of the game. Johnson shows his quality and whips in a cross onto the head of Peter Crouch unmarked in the box but the header is a tame one and Duke saves well. A good chance for the six foot seven striker.

Ian Ashbee threads a pass in between Distin and Campbell into the path of Manucho but the forward was beaten to the ball by Campbell scampering back.

A free-kick for Hull, a long way out but straight in-front of the goal. Dawson floats the ball into the box and Manucho rises to head the ball down but Ricketts can't pick up the second ball and Portsmouth clear.
5mins
The ball breaks for Crouch and sits up nicely for the forward. He tries his luck from long range but sends the ball sailing into the stands.
4mins
Good play from Portsmouth breaking down the left hand side and Kranjcar fires in a low cross but Turner slides to make the interception. The resulting corner is well gathered by Duke.
3mins
A patient start from both sides. Fellow relegation strugglers Blackburn picked up three points in the lunchtime kick-off making this game even more important for both teams.
0mins
Chris Foy is today's referee and he gets the game underway.

After the international break all of Paul Hart's men return unscathed and Peter Crouch will look to continue his fine form after netting for England on Wednesday. Johnson will once again play in midfiled with Kaboul at full-back.
0mins
Phil Brown is still without striker Daniel Cousin who has missed the last two games through injury, so the on-loan Manucho partners Fagan upfront. Dawson and Turner are both available in defence after thigh problems.

Hello and welcome to the KC Stadium where Hull City host Portsmouth with vital points in the fight against relegation are on offer.
Match Preview
Hull City manager Phil Brown has insisted in the build-up to Saturday's relegation six-pointer against Portsmouth that the ongoing row involving Cesc Fabregas will not distract his team.
The Football Association has launched an investigation after the Tigers alleged that the Arsenal midfielder had spat at assistant manager Brian Horton at the end of last month's FA Cup quarter-final between the two teams.
Brown said of the row: "I've been given no indication of how long this will take. I've kept away from it as much as I possibly can.
"I've got enough to focus on with these eight games. My players need me right now and I need them."
City go into the weekend fixtures four points above the drop-zone but their form at the KC Stadium continues to give cause for concern.
They have won only three of their 15 home matches in the Premier League so far this term - and none for almost four months since they beat Middlesbrough 2-1.
The Tigers have taken only two points from their last seven home games, the draws against relegation rivals West Brom and Newcastle United.
Anthony Gardner (back) is a doubt for the match while Ian Ashbee (hamstring), George Boateng (knee ligaments) and Jimmy Bullard (knee) definitely miss out.
Portsmouth are only one point below Hull but have a dreadful record away from Fratton Park, winning only two of their 14 league games on the road.
However, since Tony Adams' departure almost two months ago, Paul Hart has guided Pompey to eight points from five matches, a run that has included vital victories against Everton and Manchester City.
Hart has several injury concerns with Jermaine Pennant (calf), Jamie Ashdown (ankle), Armand Traore (hip) and Papa Bouba Diop (thigh) all expected to miss out.
Earlier in the season at Fratton Park the two teams shared four goals in a fluctuating contest.

Match Report
Hull City and Portsmouth had to settle for a point apiece from a disappointing goalless draw at the KC Stadium.
Neither-side could break the stalemate despite Pompey being down to ten men for the last ten minutes after Glen Johnson was given his second yellow card of the game.
The visitors created a decent chance ten minutes into the game. Clever footwork from Johnson down the right allowed him to find space to deliver a curling cross towards an unmarked Peter Crouch, but the England international could only head his close-range effort straight into the arms of keeper Matt Duke.
Geovanni then had a chance for the home side as he found himself with time to line up a long-range shot, but the Brazilian's effort from 25 yards saw the ball flash well wide of the post.
Hull had another chance moments later as neat build-up play allowed Bernard Mendy to swing in a curling right-footed cross into the path of Manucho, but the Manchester United loanee could only fire the ball well over the bar from eight yards.
The home fans felt that Portsmouth should be down to ten men midway through the half, after Johnson was first booked for a tussle with Kamil Zayatte then moments later penalised for bringing down Geovanni on the edge of the box.
However, referee Chris Foy decided only to give the England international a talking to, keeping his cards in his pocket.
Pompey had a good chance towards the end of the half as a Niko Kranjcar corner found its way to the head of Younes Kaboul at the back post, but the Frenchman could only head the ball over the bar from close range.
Hull were almost gifted a goal on the hour mark as a poor back-header from Hayden Mullins gave Craig Fagan a chance to score past the stranded David James, but the Hull forward saw his header well saved as the England number one managed to stretch and turn the ball round the post for a corner.
Johnson was given his second booking on 80 minutes as he was adjudged to of brought down Dean Marney with a late challenge, leaving Paul Hart's side down to ten men for the last ten minutes.
Portsmouth came within inches of nicking the victory in injury time as substitute Nadir Belhadj swung in a pin point free-kick from the left on to the head of Hermann Hreidarsson, but the Iceland international could only watch as his header come back off a post.
