Match Preview

Vale to go with similar squad Port Vale manager Micky Adams expects to have an unchanged squad for the visit of Exeter. John McCombe made his comeback from a six-week absence with a knee ligament problem against Torquay on Saturday. The defender is not thought to have suffered any ill effects after completing the full 90 minutes at Plainmoor but Adams will decide if two games in the space of four days is a case of too much, too soon for him. Fellow centre-half Liam Chilvers is likely to be missing for a third match with a bout of flu. Striker Calvin Andrew marked his return to the team with his first goal for the club to give Vale a 1-0 win at Torquay and he will hope to keep his place in the starting line up on Tuesday night. Exeter goalkeeper Artur Krysiak is expected to come back into contention. The former Burton shotstopper missed the 4-2 defeat to his former employees on Saturday after failing a late fitness test at The Pirelli Stadium. However, the Pole is set to overcome the hamstring injury which forced him off during City's 2-0 win over Accrington and manager Paul Tisdale will have to decide whether to recall Krysiak or stick with Rhys Evans. Striker John O'Flynn returned to action after a month on the sidelines against the Brewers and the Irishman is likely to be involved again. Fellow forward Guillem Bauza is pushing for a start after his goalscoring appearance off the bench but Tisdale is still without Liam Sercombe (ankle), Alan Gow and Myles Anderson (both knee). City go into this match four points off the third automatic promotion place in npower League Two.
