Match Preview
Griffith doubt for Vale Port Vale will check on the availability of Anthony Griffith ahead of their FA Cup first-round replay against Dartford. The midfielder was on the end of Abdul Osman`s lunge which resulted in the Northampton man being shown a straight red card in Saturday`s goalless draw, and was subsequently forced off at half-time nursing a shin injury. He is one of two doubts for manager Micky Adams who faces the replay at Vale Park having seen his side scramble home a late equaliser nine days ago to claim a 1-1 draw and deny their Blue Square South opponents a memorable giantkilling. Influential defender Lee Collins missed altogether out at the weekend due to shin splints and will also be assessed. On-loan forward Jake Speight, who sustained a late calf injury ahead of Saturday`s league game, is ineligible for the cup competition. Adams could opt to include top scorer Marc Richards after he returned to action at Sixfields having missed the initial encounter against Dartford due to a knee injury. Returning duo Lewis Haldane and Rob Taylor may find two games in the space of four days a bit too much having featured on Saturday. Dartford should welcome striker Carl Rook back into their side. Rook, who led the line superbly in the original 1-1 draw against the League Two side, missed the subsequent Blue Square South clash with Dover due to a hamstring injury. He was named on the bench for Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Dorchester and is likely to start at Vale Park. Charlie Sheringham, whose famous father Teddy was a cup winner with Manchester United in 1999, will make way if manager Tony Burman opts to name the same side which came so close to a giantkilling. "They'll know more about us than they did, and they'll play better, but we are not going to go up and put 11 men behind the ball," said Burman.

Match Report
Vale coast through Port Vale coasted to an FA Cup second round home date against Accrington after an easy 5-0 replay victory over Blue Square South League outfit Dartford. The visitors from Kent made an encouraging start with Ryan Hayes cutting in from the right to crack a left-foot shot over the top. But the writing was already on the wall with mounting pressure from Vale before Paul Goodacre tripped Gary Roberts to concede a 17th-minute penalty. Marc Richards sent Andrew Young the wrong way from the spot and Richards captalised on poor defending to add his second nine minutes later. Dartford almost got a lift in the 56th minute when Stuart Tomlinson made a tremendous save from Lee Burns, but the game was over less than a minute later. Rob Taylor bent over a cross from the right wing and the ball travelled all the way to the back post where Sean Rigg side-footed home from point-blank range. Justin Richards clipped Vale's fourth, his first goal for 14 games, 18 minutes from time.
