Fallon out for Argyle Plymouth host Walsall without the injured Rory Fallon. The New Zealand international striker is out with a groin injury to leave manager Peter Reid desperately short of attacking options. Reid said: "We rested him for two weeks but he has soreness in the groin. It's too sore to carry on." Reid will choose a replacement from Joe Mason, Rory Patterson and winger Yannick Bolasie, who has played as a forward earlier in Argyle's campaign. There could even be a first call-up to a matchday squad for 19-year-old striker Liam Head while captain Carl Fletcher is also doubtful to face the Saddlers because of a foot injury. Versatile midfielder Chris Clark remains sidelined by the medial knee ligament injury he suffered in a defeat to Rochdale in March. Midfielder Kari Arnason returns from a two-match suspension activated after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season. Aaron Lescott remains a major doubt for Walsall. The full-back has not featured since sustaining a knee ligament strain in the goalless draw at Swindon at the start of March, with the injury proving to be more troublesome than expected. With the Saddlers not playing last weekend due to Brentford`s involvement in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy, striker Jon Macken has used the two-week break to recover from his calf strain. Macken missed the 1-1 draw at MK Dons last time out, a game which saw debuts for midfielder Marc Laird and forward Jordan Cook after they arrived on loan until the end of the season. Goalkeeper Jimmy Walker is in line to make his 499th senior appearance for the Saddlers.

Patterson pounces for Plymouth Plymouth super-sub Rory Patterson sealed a 2-0 win over relegation rivals Walsall. Patterson outpaced Matt Richards from the halfway line to tuck away Argyle's 88th-minute winner for the basement side. The hosts deservedly took the lead in the 51st minute through livewire winger Yannick Bolasie. Karl Duguid's cross from the right was headed back across goal by diving Rory Fallon and there was Bolasie to sweep the ball home at the far post. Kiwi international Fallon had earlier hit the bar while Saddlers keeper Jimmy Walker made superb diving saves to deny Argyle skipper Carl Fletcher and Joe Mason. Walsall's best first-half opportunity fell to Julian Gray but he was thwarted by a combination of Duguid and home keeper David Button, on loan from Tottenham. Button then briliantly palmed over Matt Richards 30-yard free-kick in the second half.
