Match Preview
Fletcher back for Pilgrims Plymouth captain Carl Fletcher has handed boss Peter Reid a major boost by returning for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday. Fletcher is back in full training following two games on the sidelines with a thigh problem and he is likely to go straight into the starting line-up. Romain Larrieu, the club`s longest-serving player, will start his first league game of the season after loanee David Button returned to parent club Tottenham to receive treatment on an ankle injury picked up in the 0-0 draw with Colchester. Elsewhere, Reid will be without Yala Balasie, who is still recovering from ankle surgery, and Rory Fallon after his hernia operation. Luke Summerfield will also be missing with a swollen knee as Reid attempts to get the Pilgrims` season back on track after only one win in five league games. Sheffield Wednesday striker Neil Mellor is hoping to return to the squad following tonsilitis. Mellor, on a season-long loan from Preston, missed last week's home defeat to Carlisle but could be back in the starting line-up. Boss Alan Irvine has plenty of options up front with Marcus Tudgay and summer signings Clinton Morrison and Paul Heffernan all available. Winger Jermaine Johnson remains sidelined with his long-term knee injury but the Owls have no new injury or suspension problems. Despite last week's defeat to Carlisle, which saw Wednesday slip from top to seventh in the table, Irvine is not expected to make too many changes. Midfield pair Tommy Miller and James O'Connor, who both started on the bench last week, are pushing for recalls.

Match Report
Plymouth pick up a win Peter Reid's Plymouth claimed their first home League One win of the season despite being reduced to 10 men in first half stoppage time thanks to Craig Noone's 77th-minute winner. Plymouth went ahead in the 19th minute after Wednesday midfielder Darren Potter slipped while making a pass in the centre of the field. The ball ran to Bradley Wright-Phillips who raced forward down the inside left channel and beat two players before teeing up skipper Carl Fletcher on the edge of the box. Fletcher's right footed angled drive from 20 yards flew in off the far post and out of the reach of Wednesday keeper Nicky Weaver, who had twice denied Wright-Phillips in the opening spell. The visitors levelled in the 38th minute through midfielder James O'Connor, who powered home a far post header from Tommy Spurr's deep cross from the left. In first half stoppage time, Argyle were reduced to 10 men when right-back Bondz N'Gala was dismissed for a foul on Wednesday striker Neil Mellor in a one-on-one situation. Wright-Phillips put Plymouth back in front in the 46th minute, heading home a left wing cross from Noone. That rocked Wednesday who sent on subs Tommy Miller and Clinton Morrison. On 75 minutes Miller levelled with a cracking long-range half-volley after the ball sat up perfectly for him to let fly. That joy was shortlived for Wednesday as Jim Paterson - one of five players recalled by Argyle - beat O'Connor down the left wing and crossed to the far post where Noone headed home.
