Duo's return boosts Pilgrims Plymouth boss Peter Reid will welcome both Carl Fletcher and Jim Paterson back into the squad to face Notts County at Home Park. The midfield duo, who have been struggling from thigh and hamstring injuries respectively, have made timely returns to fitness to give Reid a selection headache ahead of the fixture. The Pilgrims boss must decide which of the pair will take the place of ex-loanee Connor Clifford in the starting line-up following the 19-year-old's return to parent-club Chelsea last week, but club captain Fletcher is likely to get the nod. Fellow midfielder Craig Noone will be in contention after overcoming a groin problem he suffered last week. Defender Onismor Bhasera is expected to shake off illness to make the starting line-up as the club look to extent a run of two consecutive home victories. Notts County midfielder Ricky Ravenhill could come back into contention. Ravenhill suffered whiplash and facial injuries that required stitches following a freak collision with team-mate Neal Bishop during the early stages of the FA Cup win against Bournemouth a fortnight ago. He was a doubt to face Rochdale on Boxing Day but the postponement of that game has given him more time to recover and he may make the squad. Liam Chilvers will definitely miss out after the defender suffered knee ligament damage prior to the visit of Bournemouth. Striker Luke Rodgers has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Before the bad weather had forced their last two fixtures to be postponed, County had won their last three games in all competitions.

Burch on form for Magpies in score draw Notts County keeper Robert Burch made a superb 70th minute stop to deny npower League One's 12-goal top scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips and maintain parity in a 1-1 draw at a mist-shrouded Home Park. Right back Stephane Zubar headed the home side ahead in the fourth minute, meeting Craig Noone's free kick from the right with a far post effort that flew across goal and in, via a slight deflection. County replied within three minutes. Former Argyle loan signing Alan Judge let fly from the edge of the box with a right foot drive that smacked off the post and into the path of centre forward Lee Hughes who tucked the rebound away from close range, despite offisde appeals from the home side and supporters. Bradley Wright-Phillips sent County keeper Robert Burch full stretch with a first-time volley from 15 yards following a pinpoint pacy cross from the right by impressive Rory Patterson. Burch was far busier of the two keepers in the opening exchanges but could only watch as Joe Mason's instinctive volley beat him and flew off the inside of the upright on 25 minutes. County started the second half brighter with home keeper David Button forced to palm out Lee Miller's 18 yard strike. Button also kept out Judge's 25 yard shot on 69 minutes.
