Match Preview
David on the Button for Argyle Plymouth manager Peter Reid will be boosted by the return of first-choice keeper David Button, captain Carl Fletcher and versatile left-sided player Jim Paterson for the visit of Exeter. Button has missed 16 games in all competitions and nearly three months of action after suffering an ankle injury during the 1-1 draw with Colchester, but is available for selection again. Fletcher has been suffering from a leg injury and has missed the last eight games, while Jim Paterson has been in training for a couple of weeks now since returning from a troublesome hamstring. Midfielder Luke Summerfield could be out for a further three months after damaging medial knee ligaments in training, having not yet resumed full training following a twisted knee. Other than Summerfield, Reid has no other injury or suspension problems to worry about. Exeter striker John O'Flynn is pushing for a place in manager Paul Tisdale's starting line-up. The four-goal hitman, who has been struggling with a groin injury recently, had been in line for a return to action against Tranmere last week, but freezing weather conditions saw the game postponed. However, having another week's training will have only boosted the Irishman's chances of a start, and his return means Tisdale has plenty of attacking options. Daniel Nardiello's injury-time equaliser as a substitute last time out at Oldham will also have boosted his own chances of a recall. The enforced break has also given defender Richard Duffy a better chance of shaking off a slight hamstring injury.

Match Report
Wright-Phillips double settles derby League One leading scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips took his season's tally to 12 goals with a Devon derby double as Plymouth beat Exeter 2-0. Wright-Phillips, playing as the lone striker for Peter Reid's Pilgrims, struck with the opening goal in the 28th minute when he cleverly hooked home Craig Noone's free-kick. Wright -Phillips doubled his tally by heading home Noone's inch perfect cross from the left in the 57th minute, leaping between two City defenders to beat Artur Krysiak with a trademark deft finish. City - who won 2-1 at Home Park in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last month - looked nothing like the team that won that night. Plymouth started brightly and man of the match Noone crossed from the right for Joe Mason, who glanced a header towards goal and the touch it took off the head of City central defender Troy Archibald-Henville's sent the ball off the face of the crossbar. The Grecians were reeling in front of a near sell-out 14, 347 attendance and were let off when Plymouth full-back Onismor Bhasera's shot was cleared. City keeper Krysiak made a brilliant save to keep out Rory Patterson's thumping low drive and was similarly well placed to save Kari Arnason's thumping long range shot. City almost levelled in first-half stoppage-time but experienced forward Jamie Cureton hooked his shot across the face of goal. When they threatened at 2-0 down, the Grecians found recalled Plymouth keeper David Button - on loan to Argyle from Spurs - in unbeatable form.
