Match Preview

Fletcher set to feature Carl Fletcher will be fit to skipper Plymouth when they host Charlton. The midfielder received a kick during the second half of Argyle's Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Cheltenham on Tuesday and had to be replaced by Chris Clark. But Fletcher has been passed fit and will lead his side against the Addicks. Defender Jim Paterson is still struggling with a hamstring injury and is likely to miss out again, while Onismor Bhasera, Rory Fallon and Rory Patterson are away on international duty with Zimbabwe, New Zealand and Northern Ireland respectively. Striker Steve MacLean started in the victory against Cheltenham and after getting himself on the scoresheet for the first time this season, he could be in contention for another start as Plymouth chase their second home league win of the campaign.M Charlton will check on Lee Martin ahead of the trip. The on-loan Ipswich midfielder suffered a dead leg against MK Dons on Tuesday night and needs a late fitness test. Defender Gary Doherty was substituted in midweek due to a bout of flu but should be fine while Joe Anyinsah, Alan McCormack and Matt Fry could also be involved. Striker Anyinsah has been struggling with a back injury, midfielder McCormack has been sidelined for three weeks with a calf problem and defender Fry missed out on Tuesday due to a groin niggle. Forward Akpo Sodje may sit out again with a knee injury while full-backs Chris Solly (ankle) and Kelly Youga (knee) are still unavailable.

Match Report

Benson at the double to deny Pilgrims Paul Benson`s 90th-minute leveller snatched a 2-2 draw for Charlton and left Plymouth with just a share of the spoils at Home Park. Super-sub Yannick Bolasie looked to have won it for the Pilgrims when he let fly with a brilliant 25-yard strike to make it 2-1 in the 82nd minute. But Charlton deservedly levelled when Benson swept home his second goal of the game from close range following Gary Doherty's deft headed cross from the right. Argyle made a flying start when Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his fifth goal of the season in just the fourth minute. Wright-Phillips crashed the ball home at the far post following Kari Arnason's prodigious throw-in from the left flank. The goal was a catalyst for some decent attacks from the hosts but when Steve MacLean's effort was blocked on the line in the 34th minute by visiting keeper Rob Elliot, the tide changed. Elliot's downfield clearance was fired home by Benson as he found space between home defenders Lee Molyneux and Reda Johnson to clip the ball in past home keeper Romain Larrieu off a post. Larrieu made a brilliant 63rd-minute reflex save to deny Charlton sub Lee Martin. The 34-year-old French keeper went full stretch and low to his right to palm around Martin's measured side-footed effort from 12 yards after the sub had been teed up by Therry Racon's trickery. On the hour, Martin's cross from the right was turned on to his own upright by Arnason before bouncing to safety off Larrieu. That was before the late drama which eventually saw both sides settle for a point.
