Blue Toon and Sons prepare for part one of double header Peterhead striker Martin Bavidge returns from injury for the Balmoor men when they face Dumbarton in the first of two games in quick succession. Defender Bobby Mann however remains out with an ankle injury, with Neale Cooper`s side set to travel to Dumbarton for the reverse fixture on Tuesday. The Blue Toon have fallen beneath the Sons in the table and Cooper is determined his men put that right. He said: "Dumbarton have undoubtedly improved recently and are playing with a lot of energy and confidence. They are undefeated in four games but I have told our players I want us to take six points from the next two games and move back above them." Cooper also called for consistency from his charges, adding: "We have been up and down all season and I want us to keep to a high level from here on in." Ever-improving Dumbarton are again without the injured midfield pair of Alan Cook and Craig McLeish as they look to climb further away from the foot of the table. The Sons have risen to seventh place in the Second Division - one place above Peterhead - on the back of four wins in seven games and interim manager Alan Adamson reckons the only way is up for his men. He said: "There is light at the end of the tunnel after a dark period when we were bottom of the table but we need to keep doing what we have been doing to reach it. "There are six huge points at stake in the next two games against Peterhead and winning the first three up there would be a great start."

Away-day heaven continues for Dumbarton Dumbarton earned their fourth away win in a row with a 2-1 over Peterhead. Jon McShane grabbed the winner in the 78th minute after Stuart Smith had cancelled out Ryan McStay's opener. The Sons, who failed to win any of their opening eight away matches, started much the brighter and it was little surprise when McStay turned home Jordan Halsman's cross to give them the lead on 25 minutes. But the hosts hit back four minutes after the break when Smith smashed in the leveller from close range after Stirling Smith had provided the ammunition. Peterhead's hopes of easing their relegation worries with a first win in three matches were dashed when McShane coolly slotted home from 12 yards to secure the victory.
