McInally counts walking wounded Peterhead boss Jim McInally will be without seven first-team players for the home game with Alloa after Paul Watson and Davie Ross were ruled out because of illness. The duo could join the injured Garry Wood, Barry Sellars, Alan Rattray, Aaron Conway and Graeme Sharp on the sidelines. But there was some good news for McInally as Lewis Davidson and Shaun Robertson are both available and Martin Bavidge could also make it. McInally said: "We can take confidence from our last two home games where we have kept clean sheets. "Alloa will give us a different kind of threat to that posed by Clyde and Annan recently as they have players that can pass the ball around you for fun." Alloa welcome back central defender Ben Gordon from suspension as they bid to make it three wins in a week. Centre-back Fraser Forrest misses out after his sending off in Tuesday night's 1-0 success over Clyde, while midfielder Stevie Masteron is ruled out with knee ligament damage. Manager Paul Hartley said: "This will be a tough game as Peterhead have very good players in their squad and have improved a lot under Jim McInally. "We will take confidence from our wins over Stranraer and Clyde and as we have a break after this game for a couple of weeks I want to be going into it with a third straight win under our belts."

Nightmare for McDowall A late own goal by Craig McDowall denied Alloa victory against Peterhead as it ended 1-1. The away side looked set to claim all three points until McDowall turned a Bryan Deasley cross into his own net with just three minutes of normal time left to play. Alloa went into the game on the back of good away form which had seen them win four out of the last six on the road in the league. Peterhead on the other hand had not won any of their last five league games at Balmoor. The match appeared to be following the form guide when after 77 minutes Armand One crashed in a header from six yards out following a cross by Ryan McCord. But the late twist meant both sides shared the spoils.
