Duo in doubt for Thistle Partick Thistle defender John Robertson and midfielder Ryan McBeth are doubts to face Ross County. The duo have both been carrying knocks but on-loan Hearts centre back Conrad Balatoni is available for selection after overcoming a hamstring problem. Partick Thistle assistant boss Ian Maxwell is intrigued to see what impact Willie McStay has had on County since his recent appointment. He said: "Willie has been there for a couple of weeks now and I am sure there will be a reaction from the Ross County players. "You would normally know what to expect from them but Willie will have his own ideas and the players will be keen to show him what they can do finally in a game." Ross County goalkeeper Joe Malin has recovered from injury and is in the travelling party. Defender Scott Boyd, who recently suffered a punctured lung, is also included but Paul Di Giacomo and Darren Smith remain out. Recently installed boss Willie McStay is looking to add the final piece to the jigsaw of his knowledge about the Dingwall players by seeing them in a game. McStay said, "I have seen the players training on a good few occasions now but now I want to see them in a game as that is when you really learn. "That has been missing from my time at Ross County and hopefully that will change at Firhill as the players and I are desperate to get going."
