Reid waiting on Robertson
Partick striker Tommy Stewart looks set to miss the visit of Ayr.
Stewart is nursing a thigh strain and is likely to join defender Willie Kinniburgh (hip) on the sidelines as the Jags look to make it four games in a row without defeat.
Manager Jackie McNamara has warned his side to be wary of an Ayr coming out all guns blazing.
He said: "Ayr gave themselves a mountain to climb last week at Morton when they lost three goals in the first 15 minutes.
"Whilst I have put that down to a one-off, they will be determined not to repeat it so they may well come out really quickly and have us on the back foot from kick-off.`
Ross Robertson is an injury concern for Ayr. The midfielder is nursing an ankle problem and manager Brian Reid will wait until the latest possible moment before deciding whether to include the 20-year-old in his squad.
"Ross is rated as a doubt but he is young and a quick healer so I will give him plenty of time to make it," said Reid.
Former Dundee United, Aberdeen and Inverness defender Stuart Duff will make his third and final appearance as a trialist for the Honest Men.
Meanwhile, Reid is determined that there is no repeat of the crazy four-minute spell at Morton last week that cost his side three goals.
He added: "We cannot afford another bad day at the office like that one."
Ayr cruise to victory
An impressive second-half display from Partick helped them record a 4-0 home win over struggling Ayr in the Irn-Bru Scottish First Division.
Ayr had the opportunity to take the lead after 23 minutes but Mark Roberts' headed Michael Moffat's cross against the upright.
Midfielder David Rowson opened the scoring three minutes after half-time when he struck a low left-footed shot past Ayr goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert.
Paul Cairney doubled the home side's lead after 65 minutes with an impressive right-footed volley from 20 yards before Chris Erskine made it three, eight minutes later with a neat right-footed strike after being put through by Christie Elliot.
Kris Doolan completed the scoring two minutes into added time from the penalty spot after Erskine had been fouled by Ayr defender John Robertson inside the area.
