Match Preview

Selection headache for Wilder Oxford boss Chris Wilder faces some welcome selection dilemmas ahead of the home clash with fellow early high-fliers Exeter. Wilder made four changes for Wednesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy derby clash with Swindon and watched as his new-look side recorded a thrilling 1-0 win over their League One rivals. Jon-Paul Pittman, James Constable and Tom Craddock all came into attack while Daniel Boateng was introduced in midfield, and the quartet will be hoping to keep their places. However, winger Alfie Potter, relegated to the bench, is likely to have something to say having popped up to net the 88th-minute winner. Sean Rigg, Deane Smalley and Simon Heslop, who all made way due to niggling injuries, also hope to be back in contention, providing Wilder with plenty to think about. Michael Duberry, Peter Leven, Andy Whing, Harry Worley and Liam Davis remain sidelined through injury. Exeter skipper Danny Coles is expected to make a welcome return. The defender missed Tuesday's disappointing Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Aldershot with a slight groin complaint suffered during last weekend's 3-0 victory over Burton. But he has recovered sufficiently to be in the frame for the clash at the Kassam Stadium, where the Grecians triumphed in a dramatic Conference play-off semi-final in 2007. Coles' return provides manager Paul Tisdale with a fully-fit squad for an encounter between two sides who have taken an impressive nine points from their opening four league matches respectively. As well as Coles, Kevin Amankwaah, Matt Oakley, Arron Davies and Jamie Cureton will all be hoping to return having not featured in the JPT in midweek.
