Match Preview
Late check for Heslop Oxford boss Chris Wilder will hand Simon Heslop a late fitness test ahead of the home clash with league-leaders Chesterfield. The 23-year-old midfielder had to be withdrawn after 41 minutes of last Saturday's goalless draw at Accrington due to a dead-leg and did not train during the early part of the week. Fellow midfielder Ryan Burge could also be missing after being recalled by parent-club Doncaster during the week. However, Wilder insists the youngster has only returned to the Keepmoat for training and may yet line-up against the Spireites. Another of the club's loanees, winger Simon Hackney, has returned to Colchester early but would not have been fit anyway due to a hamstring injury Defender Harry Worley completes a two-match suspension after accumulating 10 bookings for the season. Chesterfield manager John Sheridan will shuffle his pack for the two Bank Holiday fixtures. The league leaders travel to the Kassam Stadium looking for the victory that would seal their promotion. However, they could already be up by the time they kick-off on Saturday afternoon should either Wycombe or Shrewsbury fail to win. Wycombe are away at Torquay on Friday night while Shrewsbury travel to Hereford in an early start the following day. With second-placed Bury at the b2net Stadium on Monday, Sheridan will rotate his squad for the two games. Veteran striker Jack Lester is unlikely to start both. Fellow 30-somethings Mark Allott, Dean Holden, Ian Breckin and Danny Whitaker could also be used more sparingly. That could see Derek Niven, Ian Morris, Kieran Djilali and Scott Boden come into contention.

Match Report
Spireites make their point Promoted Chesterfield edged another point closer to the League Two title with a 0-0 draw at Oxford. The Spireites now know that victory against Bury at the B2net Stadium on Monday will bring them the championship. The hosts' plans were thrown into disarray as they lost two centre halves through injury. Jimmy Sangare, on his home debut, hobbled off with a foot injury just before half-time. And his replacement, Mitch Hanson, lasted only 12 minutes before he was stretchered off following a clash of heads. Oxford striker Alfie Potter missed two good chances in the second half, and James Constable was denied by a fine save from Lee. Spireites skipper Dwayne Mattis made two brilliant blocks to ensure a clean sheet, as the Chesterfield fans' celebrations continued.
