Italian duo in Latics squad Luca Scapuzzi and Andreas Mancini are set to go straight into the Oldham side for the local derby with Bury. The Italian duo, aged 20 and 19 respectively, signed on loan from Manchester City on Thursday and will bolster Latics' depleted forward line. "We'd been looking for players to come in but we had to make sure they were what we could pay," boss Paul Dickov told the Manchester Evening News. "On all accounts, Manchester City have been a massive help to us." Midfielder James Wesolowski is also in contention after a scan allayed fears he had suffered a serious knee injury against Carlisle. Wesolowski hobbled out of last weekend's 3-3 draw and left Brunton Park in heavy strapping amid concerns of ligament damage. Reuben Reid (thigh), Josh Parker (knee) and Bradley Diallo (hamstring) remain sidelined along with long-term injury victims Djeny Bembo (ankle) and Phil McGrath (cruciate ligament). Midfielder David Worrall is set for a return to Bury's line-up. Worrall missed last weekend's defeat to Stevenage with a hip injury but could go straight into Richie Barker's starting XI after Giles Coke went back to Sheffield Wednesday at the end of his loan spell. Another loanee no longer at Gigg Lane is Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson, meaning Cameron Belford will continue between the posts. Andy Bishop suffered no adverse reaction after shaking off a calf injury to play the full 90 minutes against Borough and he could be joined in attack by on-loan Liverpool youngster David Amoo, who has trained all week following his recovery from an ankle problem. Midfielder Craig Easton (ankle) is also back working with the squad and may feature, although Mark Cullen remains with parent club Hull as he undergoes hamstring treatment.

Bishop sinks Oldham Top scorer Andy Bishop struck both goals for Bury as they beat 10-man Oldham 2-0 at Boundary Park. Oldham had keeper Alex Cisak sent off after just 10 minutes when he was shown a straight red card for bringing down Bishop as the striker burst clear on goal. Cisak was replaced by 38-year-old goalkeeping coach Paul Gerrard, who dived to his left and saved the weak resulting penalty from Bishop. But Bury went in front after 22 minutes, Bishop stealing in at the near post to volley home a Lennell John-Lewis cross from six yards. Oldham's Shefki Kuqi wasted a clear chance before Bishop struck again on the half-hour with a close-range header from Steven Schumacher's corner. Bury came under fierce pressure after half-time, but Kuqi missed two more openings and was also denied by Cameron Belford's fine save. Oldham's Chris Taylor had an effort cleared off the line and Matt Smith hit the woodwork from 25 yards. Bury also ended the game with 10 men after John-Lewis received his second yellow card deep inside injury time.
