Match Report

Brian Laws celebrated signing a new contract as Sheffield Wednesday secured their second win in five days.

Wednesday came from behind with three second-half goals as they had the last word in a five-goal thriller.

Norwich grabbed the lead with Sammy Clingan's first-half penalty, but Wednesday hit back through Tony McMahon and Leon Clarke.

Leroy Lita levelled for the Canaries, but Marcus Tudgay headed the winner.

To make matters worse, John Kennedy was sent off late on for City for a professional foul.

Three minutes before the break, Wednesday had themselves to blame when Norwich finally grabbed the lead.

Lita's thundering shot was palmed away by Lee Grant and Wes Hoolahan was the first to react only to be brought down by Tudgay.

Clingan made no mistake with the resulting penalty and crashed home a shot that gave Grant not chance.

Wednesday threatened to hit back early in the second half and came up with the equaliser just five minutes after the restart.

The home side were fortunate to earn a corner when a cross deflected off a Norwich player for a flag-kick

Etienne Esajas swung in the corner and McMahon charged in to power home a cracking head to level the game.

Four minutes later, Clarke collected a clever flick from Tudgay and galloped into the area before angling a low shot wide of David Marshall to claim the lead.

But then after 62 minutes, Lita went on a rampaging run into the area and rammed in the equaliser.

Wednesday continued to hunt for goals and the winner came after 72 minutes when Lewis Buxton whipped in a cross that was headed in at the far post by Tudgay for his sixth of the season.

And City's misery continued when Kennedy wrestled down Clarke and was sent off.
