Boothroyd set to ring the changes
Northampton have no new problems as they prepare to host Bristol Rovers.
Every player that started the 2-2 draw at Cheltenham on Saturday completed the full 90 minutes, so with a busy March ahead, manager Aidy Boothroyd is set to make changes to his team.
"We will mix it up a bit for a number of reasons," said Boothroyd at his pre-match press conference.
"We have got a lot of games coming up and I think we have got a lot of players who can come in to do a job for us and win us a game."
Defender Byron Webster, midfielder Toni Brito Silva and forwards Lewis Young and Jake Robinson are among those players who could be restored to the starting line-up.
Tom Parkes is set to return to Bristol Rovers' matchday squad.
The on-loan Leicester defender missed the goalless draw with Macclesfield on Saturday because of illness but has recovered and is now available for selection.
Manager Mark McGhee will have to do without Michael Smith, however. The right-back picked up a groin injury during the stalemate with the Silkmen and is sidelined for the visit to Sixfields.
Goalkeeper Michael Poke is also likely to miss out. Poke has not featured for the Pirates since a goalless draw with Oxford on February 18 after twisting his ankle and looks set to spend another week out of action.
Adam Virgo and Wayne Brown remain long-term casualties for the Memorial Stadium outfit with respective knee ligament and ankle injuries, while Gary Sawyer (hamstring) and Aaron Downes (knee cartilage) have also been ruled out.
Cobblers withstand late Rovers rally
Three goals in the opening 20 minutes put Northampton on the way to a vital 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers.
But Cobblers did their best to throw it away as Rovers staged a late rally that almost earned a point.
Top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa gave the hosts a perfect start with a goal inside the opening minute, starting and rounding off the move in which Michael Jacobs and Ben Harding set him up for a cool finish.
Eight minutes later Akinfenwa grabbed his 14th of the campaign when he netted from close range after Jacobs had turned two defenders inside out.
Northampton increased their lead when defender Kelvin Langmead headed home a cross from Ben Tozer to leave Rovers with it all to do.
Mustapha Carayol and Joe Anyinsah tested Matt Duke following a brief spell of Rovers' pressure before the break and the visitors reduced the arrears in the 66th minute when substitute Chris Zebroski crossed for Craig Stanley to head home at the far post.
It took a superb save from Scott Bevan to deny Brett Williams moments later, and when Lee Brown converted an 85th minute penalty after Carayol had been upended by Duke it left Northampton hanging on to claim a result which moves them off the foot of the npower League Two table.
