Match Preview
Triple doubt for Sampson Northampton manager Ian Sampson has doubts over three key players ahead of the visit of Barnet. Sampson witnessed his side hammer Crewe 6-2 on Tuesday night but also saw full-back John Johnson (knee), captain Andy Holt (calf) and striker Leon McKenzie (thigh/hamstring) limp off. Sampson said: "The three players that came off on Tuesday night are all major doubts. "Johnno is the most likely out of the three to make it but I think Leon and Andy are both very doubtful." Paul Rodgers will replace Johnson at right-back if required, Billy McKay will start in place of McKenzie while Francis Laurent or Ryan Gilligan could take Holt`s place on the left wing. Midfielder Kevin Thornton joined in training on Thursday after a hamstring injury, left-back Liam Davis is out with a knee problem and striker Tadhg Purcell is still sidelined with his knee injury. Steve Kabba is back in the Barnet squad for the trip. The experienced striker has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury at the end of December, but he resumed training earlier this week and will be involved. Boss Paul Fairclough is hoping Kabba will be fit enough to start alongside Izale McLeod in attack for only the third time this season. The Bees have no new injury worries after their midweek clash at Aldershot was called off at half-time due to fog. Jake Cole was recalled in goal ahead of Liam O'Brien and should keep his place. Defenders Daniel Leach and Darren Dennehy are still missing with foot injuries and striker Ricky Holmes is out for the season with a broken metatarsal.

Match Report
Cobblers and Bees in stalemate Barnet picked up a useful point in their bid to climb away from the relegation zone after frustrating Northampton in their goalless draw at Sixfields. There was to be no repeat of the midweek goal feast enjoyed by Cobblers as they failed to break down a regular Barnet side who had the best of the first half. The visitors created several openings with their pace up front but they came closer to breaking their deadlock from a set piece in the 26th minute. Mark Marshall's in-swinging corner was met by Clovis Kamdjo whose first header was blocked from the line and his second came back off the bar. Northampton's best chance fell to Shaun Harrad on the half hour mark but Jake Cole was quickly helped to save off his feet. Northampton upped the tempo in the second half and within three minutes of the restart Billy McKay should have broke the deadlock when his close-range effort smacked against the underside of the bar from a Michael Jacobs cross. Jacobs then had a goal bound shot blocked while Cole produced a fingertip save to keep out a 69th minute header from substitute Ryan Gilligan. But that was the closest Northampton came to making the breakthrough.
