Trio passed fit for Well
Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has received an unexpected boost with the news that Bob McHugh, Fraser Kerr and Zaine Francis-Angol have all been passed fit to face St Mirren on Saturday.
Striker McHugh has missed two games with a knock while defender Kerr went off with a hamstring injury in the early stages of the recent 5-0 defeat by Celtic, while Francis-Angol has overcome a groin injury.
McCall, who has goalkeepers Gunnar Nielsen and Lee Hollis on the treatment table, told the club's official website: "With so many games in short succession over Christmas and New Year, the more options you have, the better.
"We weren't expecting Zaine to be back so soon, but he got some really welcome news after we thought he'd be out for two to three months at least. Hopefully the diagnosis and the treatment he has got has propelled him forward.
"Zaine, along with Bob and Fraser, will provide increased competition for places and are in contention for this weekend."
Paul McGowan will travel despite admitting two cases of police assault on Monday.
The former Celtic forward will be sentenced for the attacks - which took place in Airdrie back in August - next month but boss Danny Lennon has included him in the squad for the clash at Fir Park.
Midfield colleague Kenny McLean has overcome a knee problem to declare himself fit but winger Gary Teale (hernia) and defender David Barron (ankle) are unavailable as they continue to battle back from injury.
