Ellison set for Shrimps return Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is hoping to have top scorer Kevin Ellison available for the New Year's Eve clash with Burton. Former Rotherham forward Ellison, who has nine goals to his name this term, missed the Shrimps' last two matches with a back injury. During that time, Morecambe have extended their barren run to four defeats in five npower League Two contests - a slump far removed from their status as the division's early-season pacesetters. Bentley admitted their most recent reverse, 2-1 against Accrington on Boxing Day, was difficult to take and has urged his players to find a response. He told The Visitor: "Everybody is really hurting at the moment and I have to admit that after Monday's game I felt as low as I ever have done since taking over. But we have to lift ourselves and get back to it as soon as possible and look to get an important win against Burton on Saturday." Defender Paul Scott is back in training after an 18-month lay-off with knee problems. Burton boss Paul Peschisolido expects to pick from virtually the same set of players as Albion prepare to play their last match of 2011. The Brewers have some players nursing aches and minor niggles but Peschisolido does not think any are serious enough to affect his plans. Peschisolido made one change to his starting line-up at Northampton on Boxing Day, restoring leading scorer Billy Kee to the side after a groin problem. Fellow striker Justin Richards was the man to make way. Richards, along with the likes of defender Andrew Corbett and midfielders Chris Palmer, Andres Gurrieri and Jimmy Phillips are available for recalls. Veteran club skipper Darren Moore (broken toe) and young striker Adi Yussuf (ankle) are also available again after lengthy absences. However, defender Tony James is unlikely to recover from a groin problem in time.

All square at Globe Arena Morecambe and Burton had to settle for a share of the spoils after an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Globe Arena. The Shrimps broke the deadlock just after the half hour when Lewis Alessandra scored a stunning goal as he curled an effort from the left-hand side of the box that beat Ross Atkins and went in off the bottom of the left-hand post. That lead lasted just seven minutes as Burton equalised with a huge slice of luck. Billy Kee's free-kick looked set to be going wide but Nick Fenton could only manage to divert the ball into his own goal. From there, Barry Roche was forced into another good save from a Calvin Zola effort and the half ended with Jason Price testing Atkins as the Burton goalkeeper did well to claw an effort away for a corner. Burton completed their turnaround in the 53rd minute when they took the lead through the ever-dangerous Zola. Chris Palmer floated in a free-kick from the right, the ball was headed back across goal and Zola was on hand to bundle the ball over the line from close range. The Shrimps hit back strongly and Gary McDonald secured them a well-earned point with a fine goal after 68 minutes. The midfielder collected the ball 25 yards out and let fly with a low drive that beat Atkins to his right-hand side.
