McNally misses out for Montrose Montrose will again be without full-back Stephen McNally as they look to move to four games in a row without defeat when they host Stranraer. Striker Martin Boyle is again doubtful with a hamstring problem with recently-appointed manager Ray Farningham urging his men to keep piling points on the board. Farningham said: "We have taken seven points out of the last nine and it would be great to keep adding to that in our last games of the season. "We have done well against Stranraer all season and hopefully we can keep that going as well. "The players know that I am looking to build a squad for next season and they have the first opportunities to be part of it by playing well in our remaining fixtures." Stranraer will be without banned striker Michael Moore as they look to consolidate their play-off place with a win. The versatile Grant Gallagher is rated as having only a 50/ 50 chance of playing due to a groin problem but Stair Park boss Keith Knox is looking for his men to build on their clean sheet against East Stirling last weekend. Knox said: "It was important for everyone in the team that we tightened up at the back and therefore winning last week without conceding any goals was a great result. "The title looks destined for Arbroath now so we have to win to move even closer to a play-off place."

Stranraer slip to costly defeat Stranraer missed the chance to move into third in the Third Division table as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat at Montrose. Daryl Nicol put the hosts ahead in the 12th minute, converting from the penalty spot after Armand One had handled. And the Gable Endies doubled their advantage two minutes later as Dougie Cameron coolly slotted home from the edge of the box. Stranraer were nearly back in it just before the break, but Ramiro Gonzalez saved smartly from Ryan Kennedy's free-kick. They did pull a goal back nine minutes into the second half when Stuart McColm calmly converted Sean Winter's inside pass from close range. But Montrose restored their two-goal lead 10 minutes later, with Nicol grabbing his second with an impressive 20-yard strike into the top left-hand corner. The visitors halved the deficit again in the 73rd minute as Declan Gallagher met Steven Noble's cross with a powerful downward header, but they could not find an equaliser.
