Tweed returns for Gable Endies Player-manager Steven Tweed is back in the Montrose squad and looks set to take his place in defence for the match with in-form Queen`s Park. Argentinian goalkeeper Ramiro Gonzalez is also in line for his debut. Defenders Jonathan Crawford and Fraser Milligan are still out through injury as the Gable Endies look to end a run of four games without a win. Tweed said: "We have to take our chances when we are on top of teams. "We haven`t been doing that in games recently and it has undoubtedly cost us points. This is a big challenge as Queen's Park are the form team in this league but we are at home and will be looking at this game as one we should win." Form side Queen's Park have four players definitely ruled out and four others facing fitness tests. Jamie Brough, Steven Baillie, Michael O'Hara and Paul Harkins will all miss the game through injury, while Tony Quinn, Ian Watt, Michael Daly and Graeme Eaglesham must prove their fitness before being risked. The Spiders have won seven of their last eight games, and Hampden head coach Gardner Speirs is looking for more of the same. He said: "We have not played Montrose since the opening day of the season and both sides have changed a bit from then. "All I will ask of my boys is to keep doing what they have been doing and hopefully we can keep our good run going."

Queen's sink Montrose Queen's Park kept up their promotion push with a deserved 2-0 win at Montrose. The Hampden side were depleted in numbers thanks to numerous injuries but managed to take the lead in the 36th minute. An outswinging corner from top scorer Martin McBride was met by a powerful Daryll Meggatt header into the top right corner giving Montrose keeper Ramiro Gonzalez no chance. The Gable Endies almost went two behind when David Anderson met a cross just six yards out but he headed wide for the visitors. But the killer second did arrive when David Murray fed Paul McGinn on the left side of the area and he crashed the ball into the far top corner.
