Montrose wait for Mosson clearance
Grant Mosson could be in line for his Montrose debut when Clyde visit on the opening day of the Third Division season.
Former Dundee United defender Mosson is set to be included in the squad if international clearance comes through from his last club in Iceland.
Influential midfielder Jamie Winter continues to miss out due to injury and Jonathan Crawford will also be absent through suspension.
Manager Stuart Garden has pin-pointed Clyde's new recruit Stuart Malcolm as the danger to his side.
He said: "We want to get our season off to the best possible start but we will need to keep Stuart McColm quiet as he was always a handful when he played with Stranraer.
"We have the makings of a good side and the confidence we would gain from a good start in the Third Division would really help us in the season ahead."
Summer signing John Kane is set to make his debut for Clyde.
Former Stranraer man Kane has overcome the knee injury that has been troubling him.
Not such good news for manager Jim Duffy is that Gavin Brown and Michael Oliver will both miss out through knocks.
Ahead of the game, Duffy said: "We have done really well in one-and-a-half of our games so far, with the second 45 minutes at Ayr last weekend when we lost six goals best forgotten about.
"We have changed things about a lot during the summer and we are still gelling but I know that my squad will improve as the season goes on.
"A win would be a great start but we will need to work extremely hard for the 90 minutes to secure it."
"Are Chelsea right to bring back Jose Mourinho?"
