Montrose plagued by injuries Player/manager Steven Tweed looks set to rule himself out of Montrose's clash with Clyde. The 38-year-old picked up a knock in last week's game against Elgin and looks set to be joined on the sidelines by Sandy Wood, Sean Fleming, Fraser Milligan, Hugh Davidson and Terry Masson. The Gable Endies went down 3-2 at Borough Briggs last weekend, but Tweed was pleased with the attacking threat posed by his side, saying: "We scored two very well worked goals up there and we need to build on that good work against Clyde. "The workrate from the players was excellent as well but we need to defend better as a team and if we do that we may get the points to jump over Clyde." Clyde travel to bottom side Montrose on Saturday as they look to kickstart their season after struggling to adapt the Third Division. Bully Wee head coach Stuart Millar has been dealt a big blow ahead of the clash with the news frontman Marc McCusker has been ruled out for the next few weeks with a dislocated collar bone. Midfielders Connor Stevenson and Hadyn Cochrane are also out through injury and striker Willie Sawyers is struggling with a virus. The Broadwood boss said: "We have good players but we do not seem to be getting a break at all. We are all disappointed about our position and need more of a cutting edge but we are not a poor side."

Tosh hits three as Montrose run riot Paul Tosh netted a hat-trick as Montrose thumped nine-man Clyde 8-1 at Links Park. Graham Girvin was dismissed for a professional foul after just 27 minutes for Clyde before Ross McMillan was sent off just two minutes later for bringing down Tosh in the area. The Montrose striker converted the penalty himself before Ross McCord doubled the lead after 39 minutes with a header from 12 yards and Connor Thompson made it 3-0 soon after half-time with a low 20-yard strike. Tosh then tapped in after 61 minutes and found the top corner from 18 yards to complete his hat-trick just two minutes later. A Montrose sixth came after 70 minutes with a Martin Boyle tap in and McCord got his second with a left-footed strike into the corner. Alan Lithgow tapped in for a Clyde consolation goal with 10 minutes to go before Paul Watson rounded off the scoring with a phenomenal left-footed 35-yard strike.
