Winter faces race against time Influential Montrose midfielder Jamie Winter is a doubt for the visit of Berwick. Winter is free of suspension but has picked up a knock in training and will require a Saturday lunchtime fitness test in order to play. The Gable Endies are definitely missing suspended Paul Lunan and the injured Alan Campbell as they look to build on last weekend's win over Clyde. Manager Ray Farningham said: "We have not won two games in a row all season and we have another chance to do that in this game. "Berwick have won at Alloa and Stranraer recently and have also drawn against Queen's Park on the road so it will be a very difficult game." Striker Darren Gribben has been ruled out with injury as Berwick look to keep the slimmest of play-offs hopes alive with victory. The Borderers are also without injured defender Chris McLeod, however Damon Gray returns after a knock and Kevin McDonald is available after missing out on the 3-1 win at Stranraer last week as his wife gave birth. Manager Ian Little said, "We have to be very wary of the threat Montrose pose up front, especially in Martin Boyle who has been great this season. We did well last week at Stair Park and we scored goals at good times. "We have done well to win games away from home and need to keep winning these games and then start picking up wins at home."
