Gable Endies struggling for numbers
Montrose are down to only 15 fit players to face Annan Athletic.
Paul Lunan has joined David Di Milta on the sidelines after he picked up a knock against Alloa.
It was not just Lunan who was feeling sore after the 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Wasps.
Manager Ray Farningham said: "We played really well for 87 minutes and then lost a goal through a bit of a freakish shot. We lost another as we chased a point so we are hoping to take the disappointment of that out on Annan.
"They have hit a wee sticky spell where results are not coming as easy to them but they still have match-winners in their team who we will need to keep very quiet."
Annan are without injured defender John MacBeth.
They will give striker Sean O'Connor until the last minute to prove his fitness after a knee injury.
David Winters has left the club after a three-game trial period and Graeme Bell is still out with a groin problem so Ian Harty is set to start for the Galabankies.
Manager Harry Cairney said: "It really is time we ended this disappointing run we have been on and got some momentum behind us for a promotion push.
"By all accounts Montrose played well at Alloa last weekend so we will need to play well to get the three points."
Winter screamer warms up clash
Jamie Winter scored an absolute screamer to light up 10-man Montrose's 1-1 draw with Annan in the Third Division.
In a drab first half with few chances, Montrose's Winter sent promotion-chasing Annan a warning when he tried a speculative effort from 30 yards out in the 20th minute.
Winter's next effort left Annan stunned as with half-time looming, the defence backed off and he unleashed an unstoppable effort from 35 yards out to leave goalkeeper Alex Mitchell floundering.
Without a win in three, the visitors' poor run showed no signs of ending, with a tame effort from defender Bryan Gilfillan in the 55th minute their only notable chance.
However, a penalty in the 78th minute presented a chance for redemption when Douglas Cameron fouled Jack Steele and the midfielder saw red for his rash challenge.
Defender Aaron Muirhead coolly planted the resulting spot-kick in the right corner to earn a share of the spoils.
