Match Preview

Dons injury free for Dale visit MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has the rare luxury this season of a fully-fit squad to choose from for the visit of Rochdale. Gary MacKenzie has recovered from the knock that ruled him out of the last two matches, meaning everyone is fit and available. MacKenzie is pushing for a place in the starting line up along with fellow defender Adam Smith, who is available again after missing the 2-0 victory at Walsall last weekend through suspension. Midfielder George Baldock will hope to force his way into Robinson`s thinking after returning from his loan spell at Northampton. Ahead of the game, Robinson said: "Rochdale will be difficult to beat, they have an awful lot of good players. Nicky Adams is a winger I have looked at bringing in a couple of times but we couldn't make it happen. "They will make things difficult and it will be difficult for us to break them down. But we are very, very good at the moment and we are only going to get stronger." Dean Holden and Stephen Jordan are both set to feature in the Rochdale defence. Holden's move on an emergency loan from Chesterfield was confirmed on Thursday night, with Dale centre-back Neal Trotman moving in the opposite direction. Former Manchester City left-back Jordan, a free agent since his release by Sheffield United in the summer, made his Dale bow as a substitute in last weekend's 2-0 loss to Leyton Orient that saw the Spotland outfit slip into the npower League One relegation zone. Goalkeeper David Lucas has recovered from four days out with a sickness bug and may push on-loan Blackburn custodian Jake Kean for a starting berth. Marc Twaddle (hamstring), fellow midfielder Joe Thompson (thigh) and winger Simon Hackney remain on the sidelines as Rochdale look to end a winless run stretching back five matches against Karl Robinson's promotion-chasing Dons.

Match Report

Dons march on MK Dons climbed to fourth in League One after they came from behind to comfortably beat lowly Rochdale 3-1. Brian Barry-Murphy handed Dale a shock early lead but further first-half goals from Adam Smith, Charlie MacDonald and Mark Beevers sealed the Dons' second successive win. Rochdale opened the scoring after eight minutes when Dons keeper David Martin misjudged Barry-Murphy's inswinging free-kick from an acute angle and allowed the ball to loop inside the far post. But the Dons came roaring back into the game with three goals in 15 minutes before half-time. Smith sparked the comeback with a 35-yard screamer into the top corner and then MacDonald turned in Daniel Powell's cross from close range, before Beevers scrambled in Luke Chadwick's low cross after 32 minutes. Dale battled back after the break and Barry-Murphy curled a 25-yard free-kick over the bar and Ashley Grimes fired straight at Martin.
