Match Preview
Injuries threaten to unsettle Boro Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will hope for some good news on the injury front as he prepares his team for the npower Championship clash with Leicester. Mowbray made 11 changes for Tuesday night's Capital One Cup victory at Preston, although several of them were enforced. He will run the rule over his walking wounded before he makes his final decision, but will be keeping his fingers crossed that the likes of Jason Steele, Justin Hoyte, Jonathan Woodgate, Grant Leadbitter and Ishmael Miller, who all missed the trip to Deepdale, are available. Steele and Leadbitter (both calf), Hoyte and Woodgate (both hamstring) and Miller (groin) are all being assessed, as is Adam Reach, who has sat out the last three games with an ankle problem. Rhys Williams (ankle ligaments) and Curtis Main (knee ligaments) are in the early stages of rehabilitation after undergoing surgery and will be sidelined for some time yet. Leicester boss Nigel Pearson will travel to his former club with an unchanged squad. The Foxes incurred no new problems during the 3-1 home win over Hull - another of Pearson's old employers - on Sunday. It means Richie Wellens remains the only absentee as the 32-year-old midfielder continues to build up his fitness and make good progress in his recovery from knee surgery. Pearson, who spent four years as a player with Boro during which time he captained the club to two promotions, three cup final defeats and suffered the heartbreak of relegation, has options should he wish to make changes to his starting XI. Fit-again defender Zak Whitbread, midfielders Andy King and Lloyd Dyer and strikers Martyn Waghorn, Jeff Schlupp and Marko Futacs were among the substitutes against Hull. Leicester have been beaten 2-1 in all three npower Championship away matches so far this season.
