Match Preview
Daniel sidelined for Silkmen Colin Daniel will be missing for Macclesfield when they welcome Swindon after damaging his ankle ligaments. The midfielder has had an injury-hit year and has only just returned to the squad following a groin operation. His latest setback will keep him out for two to three weeks. Silkmen boss Gary Simpson has further concerns over George Donnelly (ribs), Tony Diagne (back) and Carl Tremarco (hamstring). Defender Tremarco came off midway through the first half in Macclesfield's defeat to Plymouth and Simpson rated him as "doubtful". Donnelly and Diagne both completed 90 minutes against the Pilgrims but Simpson is wary that the Friday night fixture offers less recovery time. He told the club's official website: "Hopefully with a bit of rest they'll recover in time but typically it's come on a week where we are playing on the Friday night. So there's less time than usual but fingers crossed." Swindon could hand debuts to new loan signings Liam Ridehalgh and Jake Jervis. Full-back Ridehalgh joined on an initial one-month loan from Huddersfield on Wednesday, while Jervis followed suit from Birmingham on Thursday. Both are eligible for Paolo Di Canio's men and will go straight into the Robins' matchday squad. Alan McCormack returns from suspension after missing the 4-0 win over Barnet last weekend and is expected to slot into the middle of defence, partnering Joe Devera. Alberto Comazzi will drop to the bench with Aden Flint unlikely to feature in the matchday 16, despite recovering from injury. Abdul Said is a long-term casualty for Swindon, but otherwise there are no injury worries for Di Canio as he looks to lead his team to a second away win in League Two this season.

Match Report
Robins rocked by Silkmen Swindon boss Paolo di Canio was left licking his wounds after gritty Macclesfield produced a powerful second-half display in a 2-0 victory. Macc took the lead in the 67th minute when on-loan striker George Donnelly flicked on a long ball from youngster Elliott Hewitt honing in on goal from 40 yards, before drilling a low drive through the hands of substitute goalkeeper Mattia Lanzano. The home side then sealed the game in the 83rd minute with a bullet drive from Ross Draper. Di Canio was left cursing referee Steve Rushton when Swindon midfield playmaker Matt Ritchie danced past keeper Jose Veiga only to have his heels clipped. The youngster lost his momentum but the referee waved away appeals for a penalty as he stayed on his feet. Swindon had dominated the first half with Veiga making two important saves from Raffaele de Vita first palming a shot onto the post and then clawing wide a powerful low drive. The Silkmen too had their chances with French youngster Tony Diagne heading past the post in the fourth minute and Donnelly heading wide in the 34th minute.
