Macc quintet still struggling ahead of Millers visit Macclesfield's home encounter with Rotherham may have come too early for a clutch of Town players. Manager Gary Simpson was without injured defensive duo Carl Tremarco and Shaun Brisley (both hip) for the weekend draw at Bury and they are unlikely to feature against the Millers. Striker Ricky Sappleton is still lacking match fitness and another slot on the bench could be in line for the 21-year-old. Richard Butcher completed 90 minutes and scored on his return to the Silkmen team on Saturday but Emile Sinclair is still classed as a doubt. The same applies for Vinny Mukendi, who missed out on the squad at Gigg Lane and is set to be disappointed again. That limits Simpson's attacking options as Town search for a first league win in five. Rotherham are set to be without on-loan defender Danny Coid. The right-back, on loan from Blackpool, went off at half-time in the emphatic 5-0 win over Port Vale on New Year`s Day with an ankle injury in what was his first game back after a hamstring problem. Luke Ashworth came on for Coid at Don Valley and he is likely to start if Coid, who will be checked on Sunday, is unfit. Boss Ronnie Moore could be tempted into changes to keep his squad fresh, with Arsenal loanee Mark Randall pushing for a start after making a full recovery from a broken collarbone which saw him play the final 25 minutes on Saturday and score a 25-yard screamer. And Moore has no concerns about the potential loss of Coid or having to make changes. "We have got good players here," he told Press Association Sport. "If someone picks a knock up and can't play Monday then I don't think we'll miss them too much because there is quality group of players here."
