Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will be without a number of players for the home clash with Oxford. Striker Emile Sinclair is out for four weeks with a hamstring strain, midfielder Richard Butcher is sidelined for four to six weeks with a knee injury and defender Shaun Brisley out for four months with a hip injury. Forward Ricky Sappleton is still working back to fitness after a knee problem and is not yet ready for a first-team return despite playing a couple of reserve games. Midfielder Izak Reid should be available after a groin problem and defender Paul Morgan is set to return after missing last weekend`s defeat at Lincoln with a thigh strain. After two successive defeats, Simpson may look to ring the changes. Mark Creighton could return to Oxford's starting line-up. The 29-year-old, who has recently returned from a toe injury, played for the reserves in midweek and could play after being named among the substitutes last week. Jake Wright and Damien Batt are on the road to recovery from back and ankle injuries respectively, although the game will come too soon for them. Rhys Day will not be available after agreeing to join Blue Square Bet Premier club Mansfield on a three-month loan deal. The Us have acclimatised well to life in npower League One and will be hoping to move towards the play-off places with victory over the Silkmen.

Silkmen fightback punishes Oxford Macclesfield produced a breathtaking second-half fightback to win 3-2 and leave sorry Oxford regretting that they did not finish the game before the break. Oxford took the lead after six minutes when striker James Constable bagged his eighth of the season, beating Jose Veiga at the third attempt from six yards. Midfielder Acer Hall then rifled a close-range volley against the crossbar before Tom Craddock and Harry Worley both had shots cleared off the line. Oxford extended their lead in first-half injury time when Alfie Potter broke the offside trap to set up Craddock to sweep home from 10 yards. Teenage striker Vinny Mukendi then lit the touch-paper for Macclesfield in the 51st minute with a 25-yard bullet that Ryan Clarke could only parry into the path of Paul Bolland, who fired home at the first attempt from 12 yards. The home side equalised after 67 minutes when the battling Ross Draper set up veteran playmaker Matty Hamshaw to score his first goal for the club from 10 yards. Mukendi was again the provider in the 76th minute when he carved the ball back from the byline for the unmarked Bolland to score his second of the game. Craddock had a late header for Oxford well saved by Veiga as Macclesfield held out for their second successive home win.
