Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez hailed his side's "perfect" performance after the full-time whistle.

"It was a strange game. We started really well and we put them under pressure," he told ITV1.

"When they started moving the ball, we needed to be compact and organised.

"Playing against a good team, it is always it's important to win. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was almost perfect.

"We have confidence now."
