Match Preview

Mixed team news for Tilson Lincoln boss Steve Tilson hopes Clark Keltie will be fit for the visit of relegation rivals Cheltenham. However, Mustapha Carayol is unlikely to play again this season after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury against Bury on Friday. Keltie was a late omission from the side that lost at Gigg Lane after the midfielder sustained an ankle injury in training. Winger Carayol, meanwhile, broke down on his return from injury as a second-half substitute. "Clark had to drop out after we had done all of our patterns of play and Mussie has pulled his hamstring again," said Tilson. "We are not getting too much luck at the moment, but we must put all of our efforts into Monday now. "I hope Clark will be fit enough, but with Mussie, I think it will be very doubtful if he plays again this season. All week he was been fine, yet he comes into a game and suffers the same injury." Tilson will be boosted by the return from suspension of 17-goal leading scorer Ashley Grimes, while defender Adam Watts could also be fit again after illness. Cheltenham boss Mark Yates will keep faith with Wes Thomas ahead of the encounter. The striker spurned a host of chances during the 1-0 defeat to Macclesfield at the weekend which kept the Robins in relegation trouble. Yates said: "Wes Thomas has scored 19 goals this season and while he didn't have his best game, he has been a revelation here. "He now needs to be a revelation for another three games." Winger Josh Low returned on Saturday after missing three matches with a leg injury and, after lasting 78 minutes at Whaddon Road, should be available to start again. However, striker Jeff Goulding and right-back Keith Lowe continue to miss out with their respective ankle injuries.

Match Report

Robins pile pressure on Lincoln Cheltenham eased their relegation worries with a 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Lincoln. Robins midfielder Josh Low got the vital breakthrough with a bullet header after 65 minutes. Lincoln had survived a warning a minute earlier when Junior Smikle somehow put the ball over the crossbar from just two yards out. Danny Andrew wrapped up the victory with a superbly taken 25-yard free-kick two minutes from time to extend Lincoln's winless run to nine games. The home side had made the brighter start, with Ali Fuseini going close with a curling effort after just four minutes and then former Middlesbrough striker Ben Hutchinson inches away from a dangerous cross. But it was Cheltenham who nearly opened the scoring when Martin Riley headed a 14th-minute corner narrowly over. The visitors again went close when Theo Lewis got behind the Lincoln defence after 37 minutes but steered the ball wide. Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown was called on to make a rare save from another powerful Fuesini shot, but the home side who had another let off just before half-time when they survived a penalty appeal when Riley went down under pressure from Tom Kilbey. But the Robins were not to be denied victory and Low headed home David Bird's cross to put them in front. Then Andrew lashed home a free-kick from 25 yards to seal three precious points.
