Match Preview

Orient debut for Andrew Calvin Andrew is in line to make his Leyton Orient debut against Walsall at Brisbane Road. The striker has moved to Orient on loan for the rest of the season from Crystal Palace. Andrew could replace top scorer Kevin Lisbie in the starting line-up as the seven-goal frontman needs a late fitness check on a hip injury. Boss Russell Slade moved for Andrew after allowing fellow forward Jamie Cureton rejoin his former club Exeter on loan. West Ham loanee Marek Stech will continue in goal after making his debut in last week's 1-1 draw at Bury. Stech was drafted in after Lee Butcher was ruled out for season with a knee problem and Jamie Jones suffered a wrist injury. Adam Chambers will be assessed as Walsall look to drag the O's into a relegation dogfight. The midfielder missed last Saturday's goalless draw at Preston nursing a heel injury and finally had stitches to a wound removed on Thursday. Chambers will be checked on Friday but is appears unlikely he will be 100% in time for the trip to Brisbane Road, with next week's double header against Sheffield United and Hartlepool a more likely target. Anton Peterlin stepped in at Deepdale and could well retain his place against the O's having helped secure a goalless draw, with a third successive clean sheet making it seven points from a possible nine for in-form Walsall. Defender Darryl Westlake (ankle) is likely to have recovered in time but has not featured since the start of January, while striker Ryan Jarvis has joined Torquay on loan for the rest of the season. The Saddlers would close the gap to 16th-placed Orient to just four points with victory.

Match Report

Lancashire denies 10-man O's Olly Lancashire scored an equaliser in added time as Walsall earned a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient. It was rough justice for the home side who had defended stoutly after Solomon Taiwo had been controversially sent off six minutes before half-time. The O's had taken the lead after 34 minutes after a long kick by goalkeeper Marek Stech was flicked on by Jonathan Tehoue to Kevin Lisbie, who tangled with Saddlers keeper David Grsf. The ball rolled to Dean Cox who was presented with a simple chance to record his eighth goal of the season. The O's delight was tempered five minutes later when referee Andy D'Urso, adjudged Taiwo, who had replaced injured Ryan Dickson, guilty of a two-footed tackle on Florent Cuvelier and immediately showed the redcard to the Orient midfielder. Orient had chances to settle the issue effectively but Jimmy Smith and Lisbie squandered opportunities and they paid the price when Lancashire rose highest in a crowded goalmouth to meet a Richard Taundry corner to score with a last-gasp header.
