Match Preview

Orient pair sit out Leyton Orient will be without Elliot Omozusi and Adam Chambers for the clash with Sheffield Wednesday. Full-back Omozusi and midfielder Chambers have failed to recover from the hamstring injuries which kept them out of last weekend's draw at Rochdale. But striker Jonathan Tehoue hopes to be fit having also missed out at Spotland with a tight hamstring. Midfielder Matt Sparrow picked up a knee injury during that game, but he has trained all week and will be available. However, Tottenham loanee Paul-Jose Mpoku came on for Spring and could be handed a starting place. The Os are currently two points clear of the drop zone having lost just once in their last seven matches. Gary Madine and Mark Reynolds could both make their debuts for Wednesday. Striker Madine and central defender Reynolds, signed for undisclosed fees from Carlisle and Motherwell last week, are both in contention, while recent signings Reda Johnson and Michael Morrison are both hoping to retain their places. Defenders Johnson and Morrison both made their debuts in last week's 2-2 home draw with Charlton after arriving from Plymouth and Leicester respectively in permanent deals and played the full 90 minutes. Another defender, Lewis Buxton (hamstring), and midfielder Giles Coke, who has recently undergone knee surgery, could return to the squad, but Jon Otsemobor (calf) remains sidelined. The Owls, who have slipped to ninth in the table, are chasing their first league win in four matches.

Match Report

Four-star Orient Orient made it 10 home matches unbeaten after a 4-0 thrashing of promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls almost took the lead in the first half when a header from Chris Sedgwick was nodded off the line by Charlie Daniels. But Orient produced a four-goal salvo after the break to completely overwhelm their opponents. They opened the scoring four minutes after the interval after Gary Teale had been adjudged to have handled a header from Alex Revell and Ben Chorley drilled the spot-kick into the net. They doubled their advantage 10 minutes later when 17-year-old Spurs loanee Harry Kane - making his first senior start - stole in unmarked behind a static defence to tuck in a Dean Cox free-kick. Orient piled on the pressure and two goals in three minutes completely killed off the Owls. After 79 minutes Revell rose unmarked to nod home a Daniels cross before Paul-Jose Mpoku drilled a free-kick from 25 yards past the hapless Wednesday goalkeeper Nicky Weaver.
