Match Preview
Double doubt for Orient Matt Spring and Kevin Lisbie are doubts for Leyton Orient when they host Hartlepool. Midfielder Spring picked up a groin injury at Rochdale last weekend and striker Lisbie has not trained all week after he was knocked out during the same game. Huddersfield loanee Tom Clarke has recovered from an ankle knock and could replace Spring in the centre, while Jamie Cureton will start in attack if Lisbie is ruled out. Charlie Daniels completes his three-game ban so Leon McSweeney continues at left-back against his former club. Defender Ben Chorley was involved in a car crash last weekend but a pre-existing thigh injury would have ruled him out anyway. Striker Jonathan Tehoue (arm) is still on the sidelines but goalkeeper Ben Alnwick is pushing to return after six weeks out with a groin problem. Hartlepool pair Nolberto Solano and Antony Sweeney have an outside chance of returning to contention for the clash. Former Newcastle and Aston Villa winger Solano has missed the last four games due to a hamstring strain and midfielder Sweeney has been forced to sit out the last three with a groin problem. Manager Mick Wadsworth, who hinted at a couple of changes without being drawn on specifics, revealed the latter was more likely to be involved on Saturday. Colin Larkin remains sidelined due to a knee injury, but fellow striker James Brown is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after stepping off the substitutes' bench in Pools' last three matches. Hartlepool have won only one of their last six league games after launching the season with a nine-game unbeaten run.

Match Report
Austin denies Orient A second-half penalty by Neil Austin gave 10-man Hartlepool a deserved 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient. The hosts had taken the lead after 25 minutes through Dean Cox and Hartlepool were reduced to 10 men when Paul Murray was dismissed for a second bookable offence. Cox struck when George Porter exchanged passes with David Mooney before delivering the ball into the path of the winger who was left with the simplest of chances to score low into the corner of the net. Yet the visitors had come close to taking the lead after just three minutes when a shot by Antony Sweeney was blocked on the line by Jimmy Smith. They levelled after 54 minutes when Terrell Forbes brought down striker Andy Monkhouse and Austin sent Ben Alnwick the wrong way from the spot. With 20 minutes left Murray walked for a foul on Porter but despite their numerical advantage, Orient were unable to break down a solid Pools defence. And it was Monkhouse who came closest to a winner when he brought a fine save from Alnwick at the foot of the near post in the final minute.
