Match Preview

Dawson blow for Orient Leyton Orient will be without captain Stephen Dawson for the FA Cup replay against derby rivals Dagenham. Dawson was the victim of a nasty challenge which earned Carl Regan a red card during Saturday's 3-0 win at Bristol Rovers and left the ground on crutches. The midfielder will undergo a scan on his ankle to determine the extent of the damage but he has already been ruled out of the Daggers clash. Defender Andrew Whing, who replaced Dawson at the weekend, is ineligible under the terms of his loan from Brighton. Lee Butcher continues in goal with Jamie Jones out for a month to recover from a hernia operation, and midfielder Adam Chambers has undergone surgery on his calves. Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still will be without a quartet of players. Goalkeeper Tony Roberts has an ankle injury which prevents him from kicking the ball and will again sit out, meaning Chris Lewington will continue between the posts. Defender Scott Doe has ankle ligament damage and misses out so Will Antwi will continue after he scored in the 3-1 win at Yeovil at the weekend. Still is further weakened by the absence of loan duo Kayleden Brown and Medy Elito. Brown and Elito - who scored on his debut at Yeovil - arrived last week from West Brom and Colchester respectively but were not at the club at the time of the original cup tie so are ineligible. The Daggers can name loanees Solomon Taiwo and Victor Palsson however so Still is likely to name the same side which drew 1-1 with Orient 10 days ago.

Match Report

McGleish sends Orient through Two goals from veteran striker Scott McGleish put Leyton Orient on their way to a 3-2 FA Cup first-round replay over rivals Dagenham. McGleish opened the scoring when hooking in a free-kick from Charlie Daniels in the first attack of the game after 82 seconds and after Alex Revell scored his 10 goal of the season with a close-range finish in the 24th minute, the home side appeared to be coasting. However, Dagenham hit back with a vengeance after the break and two goals in a minute put them back on level terms to set up a storming conclusion. Their first came after 67 minutes when Danny Green slammed home a penalty after Ben Chorley had handled and then Solomon Taiwo drove home a 22-yards drive to set up the storming finale. McGleish though was destined to have the last word when he rose to meet a Dean Cox corner with 14 minutes remaining to give his side the winner and a second-round trip to Droylsden.
