Match Preview

Dawson out for Orient Leyton Orient will once again be without skipper Stephen Dawson for the visit of Bournemouth. Midfielder Dawson is expected to be out for at least a fortnight after sustaining a leg injury from a bad tackle during last weekend's 3-0 win at Bristol Rovers. Boss Russell Slade could therefore stick with the line-up which got past Dagenham in their FA Cup replay in midweek. However, he will add Andrew Whing to his squad after the on-loan Brighton defender was ineligible to face the Daggers. Lee Butcher continues in goal after Jamie Jones underwent hernia surgery on Monday which will keep him out for around a month. Midfielder Adam Chambers is the only other injury absentee following a recent operation on his calves. Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip. Howe has players returning from injury to provide competition for places in the Cherries squad with Michael Symes in contention for a recall after returning to full training following a shoulder injury. Marvin Bartley is now fully fit and pushing for a place in the starting line-up, while Harry Arter is also hoping from a promotion from the bench. On-loan striker Nicholas Bignall is likely to keep his place up front with veteran Steven Fletcher having to settle for a place among the substitutes. Shaun Cooper is back in light training, but his calf injury needs to be carefully monitored in the coming weeks before he is considered for a return. Mark Molesley has started running again, although he is some way off full fitness.

Match Report

Tehoue heroics deny Cherries Jonathan Tehoue stepped off the bench to salvage a 2-2 draw for Leyton Orient against Bournemouth. The Cherries had appeared to be coasting to victory thanks to a brace from Marc Pugh. The midfielder gave his side the perfect start after just two minutes when he cut in from the left and sent in a powerful shot from 22 yards which bounced down from the crossbar and into the net. Orient striker Scott McGleish hit the crossbar from six yards eight minutes later, but it was the visitors who struck again when Pugh drove in his second three minutes into the second-half. However, they lost keeper Shwan Jalal to a facial injury and with five minutes left substitute Jon Stewart was picking the ball out of the net after Tehoue had raced onto a pass from Aaron Brown. Then, a minute into added time, Tehoue capitalised on a misunderstanding between Stewart and fellow substitute Marvin Bartley to net the equaliser.
