Match Preview

No White Rose derby worries for Warnock Neil Warnock's injury woes could soon be behind him as he will choose his starting line-up from an unchanged squad for the Yorkshire derby with Barnsley. The Leeds boss has had to send out a patched-up side in recent weeks, but David Norris is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after recovering from a torn thigh muscle and fellow midfielder Paul Green (knee) is edging closer to a return to action. Warnock has no new injury or suspension worries following the midweek draw at Bolton, leaving striker Ross McCormack now as the only long-term absentee with an ankle injury. Defender Lee Peltier is expected to be handed back the captain's armband after El-Hadji Diouf took on the skipper's role against his former club Bolton on Tuesday night. Winger/defender Aidy White is hoping for a recall to the starting XI after Warnock opted to switch Sam Byram back into midfield at Bolton, with Adam Drury stepping in at right-back, while teenager Zac Thompson, who this week signed a new three-year deal, is likely to continue on the bench. Leeds are currently two points off the top six after winning two and drawing one of their last three league matches. Barnsley have been dealt a double blow with defender Stephen Foster and winger Toni Silva both suffering injury setbacks. Foster, who missed the midweek defeat to Peterborough, has been diagnosed with a pulled muscle in his back and remains sidelined. Portuguese Silva, yet to make his Barnsley debut following his arrival in the summer from Liverpool, has been told to ease off during his recovery from a long-term knee injury and has missed training this week. Manager Keith Hill has no other new injury or suspension worries, with defender Jim McNulty and Mido, another summer signing still waiting to make his first appearance (both hamstring) hoping to return to full training after next weekend's international break. Defender Rob Edwards (hamstring) and midfielder Jim O'Brien (dislocated shoulder) remain long-term absentees as Barnsley chase a second league win in six matches.
