Match Report

Arsenal take a two-goal advantage to Turin after last week's stunning display at Highbury against Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

The Gunners built on that performance by thrashing a woeful Aston Villa side 5-0 on Saturday in the Premiership while in contrast Juve were struggling to a goalless draw with rock-bottom Treviso.

To add to Juve's woe, they are weakened by suspensions following their ill-discipline in the closing stages of the 2-0 Highbury defeat.

Former Arsenal star Patrick Vieria is out after picking up his third yellow card of the competition in the first leg while Mauro Camoranesi and Jonathan Zebina are banned following their red cards in the last few minutes of the defeat.

However, the Bianconeri will be able to call on the services of Pavel Nedved who was suspended for the first leg.

Juve coach Fabio Capello rested Lilian Thuram for the Treviso draw but he is expected to return for the second leg against Arsene Wenger's in-form side.

The Old Lady are still nine points clear at the top of the table after the weekend fixtures and have only lost one of their 32 Serie A fixtures but they have looked jaded recently.

In contrast, Arsenal have suddenly hit form after an indifferent domestic campaign, and Saturday's victory extended their recent unbeaten run to six games in all competitions since losing at Blackburn Rovers in February.

They have only conceded one goal during that run while scoring 16 and have not let in more than one goal in a game since the 3-2 home defeat at West Ham United more than two months ago.

Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Eboue have recovered from the injuries they picked up against Villa and travelled to Turin. Eboue had a groin problem while Fabregas sustained a foot injury but both are fit for the Stadio Delle Alpi encounter.

Sol Campbell and Fredrik Ljungberg missed the Villa match with a bruised toe and a calf problem respectively while Ashley Cole (ankle), Gael Clichy (foot), Pascal Cygan (hamstring), Kerrea Gilbert (back) and Lauren (knee) remain on the sidelines.
