Scotland is selection dilemma Ipswich manager Paul Jewell has a selection dilemma over Jason Scotland as they prepare to host Burnley. The Trinidad & Tobago striker is two starts away from activating a clause in his contract which would see him given a one-year extension to his contract on the same wages. Jewell is aware that the Tractor Boys need to begin cutting costs, so questions will be raised as to whether they can afford to pay Scotland his current wages for another campaign - especially as he may only be a rotation option next season. Jimmy Bullard has returned from his internal suspension, although he requires more training to ensure he is match fit and will not be a part of the squad. Midfielder Ryan Stevenson is still awaiting his first start since signing from Hearts in January. The midfielder has made four appearances this season from the substitutes' bench and will be hoping to get his full debut under his belt soon. Burnley will make a late decision on top scorer Jay Rodriguez ahead of the trip to Portman Road. Rodriguez missed his first game of the season at Cardiff on Sunday due to a groin complaint, and boss Eddie Howe insists he will not rush the 21-goal striker. "It's that type of injury - a muscle strain - you err on the side of caution really with someone like Jay Rod," said Howe in the Lancashire Telegraph. "We'll have to wait and see for Wednesday but we'll give him every chance. Junior Stanislas made his first start since January in the goalless draw with the Bluebirds following a hamstring injury and came through the game without any further concerns. Danny Lafferty made his Clarets debut at the weekend and the January signing from Derry City will hope to keep his place at left-back.
