Match Preview
Bostock back in fold Hull midfielder John Bostock will return to the fold for the home clash with Ipswich following suspension. The Tigers also hope to include Kevin Kilbane, who withdrew from the Republic of Ireland squad in midweek due to a back injury. Manager Nigel Pearson has doubts over on-loan Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala, Liam Rosenior and Paul McShane (all hamstring), although the latter has returned to full training. Striker Caleb Folan (knee) is still out as are long-term absentees Craig Fagan and Jimmy Bullard. The Tigers clinched their first win in nine league matches at Preston last week and are now chasing their first home success since a 2-0 win over Derby on September 14. They have lost three and drawn two of their last five games at the KC Stadium. Ipswich captain Gareth McAuley is again set to miss out. Central defender McAuley was badly missed during last Saturday's 3-1 home defeat by Barnsley and remains on the sidelines with an Achilles injury. On-loan Celtic defender Darren O`Dea is another injury concern.. O`Dea has not featured in any of Town's last nine games after a knee operation in September but played over an hour of the Republic of Ireland`s defeat to Norway on Wednesday night. However, he has reported back with a hamstring injury to add to Ipswich`s problems. Midfielders David Norris (ankle), Mark Kennedy (hamstring) and Luke Hyam (hamstring) are also out as manager Roy Keane searches for a much-needed win.

Match Report
Koren the hero for Tigers Robert Koren provided the game's only moment of quality as his superb finish handed Hull a vital 1-0 victory over Ipswich in an otherwise dour npower Championship clash at the KC Stadium. The match looked to be petering out into a terrible 0-0 snore draw, but Koren's fine 77th minute strike into the bottom corner ensured the Tigers recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Substitute Nobby Solano picked out the Slovenian star with a raking pass and the midfielder rattled in his fourth of the campaign from 25 yards. Jason Scotland had gone close for Ipswich earlier in the game but manager Roy Keane remains under pressure after a poor display saw the Tractor Boys suffer a third straight defeat. Keane bore the brunt of criticism following his team's defeat at Barnsley last week and he will come under fresh scrutiny from fans in the next seven days. The manager opted to drop goalkeeper Marton Fulop following that humbling, Brian Murphy coming in, while former Hull man Damien Delaney started. The Tigers went into the clash on the back of a win at Preston but after five home games without victory, they were languishing in dangerous territory. Hull chief Nigel Pearson was forced to re-jig his line-up after losing centre-back Daniel Ayala to a hamstring injury. Kamil Zayatte dropped into defence, with John Bostock - back from suspension - slotted into midfield. Zayatte showed early signs of nervousness as he allowed Scotland room to shoot at Vito Mannone but the keeper saved with his feet. Hull's jitters set the tone for the opening exchanges as Ipswich also struggled to stamp their authority on the match. Koren tried to illuminate a dull Hull skyline, but could only warm the hands of Murphy. Confusion reigned once again on the half-hour as Zayatte got in a muddle with Mannone from a cross, but thankfully for the defender the on-loan Arsenal man bravely punched clear. Hull nearly took the lead on two occasions in a frantic period just before the interval. Kevin Kilbane, who endured a difficult afternoon, saw his header bounce off the woodwork twice and 30 seconds later skipper Ian Ashbee rattled a shot off the upright as the Tractor Boys went into the break unscathed. The turgid pattern of play continued into the second period and both managers made changes just before the hour in an attempt to eke out a goal. A double swap from Pearson saw the introduction of Mark Cullen and Nick Barmby in place of Kilbane and Bostock, while Tamas Priskin come on for Ipswich after Scotland failed to capitalise on the solitary opening of the first 45 minutes. Carlos Edwards let fly from 25 yards but his strike was tantamount to the lack of quality on show until Koren seized control of the game for his team to apply the match-winning finish.
