Peltier missing for Terriers
Huddersfield defender Lee Peltier will miss the home game with Rochdale as he starts a four-match suspension.
The right-back, shown a straight red card in Saturday's 1-1 draw at former club Yeovil after allegedly elbowing Dean Bowditch, was banned for an extra game as he was sent off earlier in the season in the Carling Cup at Everton.
Manager Lee Clark, already without left-back Gary Naysmith due to a long-term calf injury, could recall Tom Clarke or Jamie McCombe to his back four.
Midfielder Joey Gudjonsson missed out on Saturday due to a hamstring strain and remains doubtful, while striker Lee Novak was forced out of the action at Yeovil with a similar problem and faces a late fitness test.
Teenager Benik Afobe, on loan from Arsenal, could start if Novak doesn't play, as could leading goalscorer Jordan Rhodes, who returned as an unused substitute at the weekend following illness. Danny Cadamarteri is still struggling with a back injury.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill has no injury or suspension concerns.
Hill`s play-off hopefuls saw their 11-match unbeaten run emphatically ended by a 4-1 home defeat to MK Dons on Saturday.
Yet Hill felt his side were simply second-best on the day and is unlikely to make wholesale changes for the clash with Lee Clark`s men.
Saturday`s defeat left Dale 10 points adrift of the play-off places but they have games in hand on all of their rivals and Hill is not overly concerned by the weekend reverse.
He said: "They were the better side in every department but I won't take anything away from our lads and what they have achieved this season.
"Hopefully it was a blip and we will move onto Huddersfield on Tuesday."
Pilkington injury mars Town win
A sickening injury suffered by winger Anthony Pilkington spoiled Huddersfield`s 2-1 victory at home to Rochdale.
The winger fell over in his own penalty area following an innocuous looking challenge but sustained what looked to be a badly broken leg.
The game was delayed while Pilkington received treatment before being rushed straight to hospital as nine minutes of stoppage time were added on.
Earlier, Town's Benik Afobe finished neatly from close range when a Jordan Rhodes shot bounced off a Rochdale defender and into his path.
Huddersfield's Gary Roberts produced an exquisite chip out of nothing to make it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. He was surrounded by three Rochdale players on the edge of the box but managed to find the net from a seemingly impossible position.
Rochdale though nearly grabbed a point. Will Atkinson had already served notice of the visitors" attacking threat by hitting the post from distance in the first half.
Town goalkeeper Alex Smithies produced a brilliant save in the first half to deny Chris O'Grady.
Smithies was beaten in the seventh minute of stoppage time by a Gary Jones shot which took a wicked deflection. Smithies then preserved Town's victory with a brilliant save, tipping over a bullet header from Jean-Louis Akpro in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
