Feeney fine for Terriers test
Huddersfield manager Lee Clark hopes to include on-loan teenage striker Benik Afobe in his squad for the clash at Oldham.
Afobe, on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season, has missed the last two games due to an knee injury, but has had an injection in a bid to overcome the problem.
Fellow forward Danny Cadamarteri is hoping to make his first start since returning to the club from Dundee United. He came on - and scored - in last week's win at Exeter and featured in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy clash with Carlisle.
Clark has no new injury or suspension problems, but goalkeeper Alex Smithies (knee), defenders Tamas Kadar (hamstring) and Liam Ridehalgh (glandular fever), midfielders Tom Clarke (ankle) and Damien Johnson (knee) and striker Jordan Rhodes (ankle) all remain sidelined.
The Terriers, bidding to climb back into the automatic promotion places, are unbeaten in their last seven league games.
Oldham striker Warren Feeney looks certain to be passed fit.
Feeney pulled out of Wednesday's Carling Nations Cup international between Northern Ireland and Scotland through an ankle problem.
The Ulsterman sustained the injury in training on Tuesday but Latics manager Paul Dickov revealed the problem is not serious.
Dickov said: "Warren didn't want to go and play for his country, aggravate the injury and not be available for us."
Dickov has no other major concerns as his side look to bounce back from the disappointment of conceding a last-minute equaliser in last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Dagenham.
Dickov said: "We're unbeaten in six and we believe we are a good side."
Tempers flare in derby draw
Oldham midfielder Aiden White was twice denied a winner in the space of a minute in a goalless derby draw at Huddersfield.
The Latics defender, on loan from Leeds, was first denied in the 48th minute by a brilliant save by Town goalkeeper Ian Bennett, who was making his 500th career appearance.
White then saw a shot cleared off the line by Terriers skipper Peter Clarke just seconds later when Oldham won possession back following Bennett's clearance and romped forward.
The closest Huddersfield came - Town are now unbeaten in eight league matches - was when Anthony Pilkington's misplaced cross inadvertently hit the post in the 64th minute.
Town though rarely troubled Oldham's on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos in a game more notable for referee Andy Woolmer's performance.
The Northamptonshire referee infuriated home fans for not sending off Oldham's Reuben Hazel, who had already been booked, for a bad first-half foul on Huddersfield striker Alan Lee.
Oldham's Reuben Reid, also booked, should have been sent off for a deliberate handball in the second half, while Town's Jamie McCombe was booked for protesting about Reid not getting a second yellow.
Players from both sides squared up to each other at half-time and midway through the second half as an often tempestuous encounter threatened to boil over.
