Benik to start
Benik Afobe should start up front when Huddersfield face leaders Brighton at the Galpharm.
The Arsenal striker extended his loan deal with the Terriers this week and, after scoring on his return to the starting XI in Town's last match, the 6-0 FA Cup win over Macclesfield on November, 27, he is likely to keep his place.
Left-back Gary Naysmith is still out with a foot injury that has kept him out since August but he has resumed full training and could be involved in an arranged practice match with former club Everton at Goodison Park next week.
Tom Clarke (foot) and Lee Novak (hamstring) are also still sidelined but both players are set to return ahead of schedule and are expected to line up alongside Naysmith against the Toffees.
Midfielder Scott Arfield is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after being dropped to the bench for the emphatic cup success.
Huddersfield have responded well following the 1-0 home defeat to Exeter on November 20, winning their next two Galpharm fixtures scoring 10 goals and conceding one.
Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes, Gary Dicker and Casper Ankergren return for Brighton.
West Brom loanee Wood was ineligible to face FC United in the FA Cup in midweek while fellow striker Barnes and midfielder Dicker were not included as they are both one yellow card away from a suspension.
Goalkeeper Ankergren was also rested for the 4-0 replay victory and will come back in for Peter Brezovan.
Defender Adam El-Abd came through the full 90 minutes unscathed following his thigh injury and will keep his place.
Boss Gus Poyet has a virtually full-strength squad at his disposal with Alan Navarro the only absentee.
The midfielder is continuing his recovery from a cruciate injury and hopes to be back in February.

The game was summed up after the final whistle by ugly scenes as both sets of players squared up to each other. Staff from both clubs had to separate the players.
