Pitman pondering Pell impact
Hereford manager Jamie Pitman has plenty to ponder as he welcomes fellow strugglers Bradford to Edgar Street aiming to build on last weekend's morale-boosting comeback at Swindon.
The Bulls twice levelled from two-nil and 3-2 down to draw 3-3 at the County Ground and Pitman must decide whether substitutes Harry Pell, Yoann Arquin - who both found the net - and Sam Winnall are worthy of starting berths this time around following their influential impact.
United also welcome back goalkeeper David Cornell and striker Delroy Facey from international duty with Wales Under-21s and Grenada respectively.
Cornell is almost certain to replace Hereford assistant manager and veteran keeper Russell Hoult after he dusted off his gloves to play against Paolo Di Canio's outfit.
Facey, meanwhile, will not just compete with strikers Arquin and Winnall but also on-loan forward Nathan Elder, who came in to make his full United debut in the Swindon clash.
As well as Hoult and Elder, midfielders Steve Leslie and Simon Clist were part of four changes last weekend and will both also be hoping to keep their places against Bradford.
The Bantams will be without suspended defender Andrew Davies, but new loan signing Marcel Seip could be in contention for his debut.
Davies, on loan from Stoke, will start a three-game ban following his dismissal in last week's win over Torquay.
Manager Phil Parkinson could recall skipper Guy Branston to the starting line-up, but loan signing Seip is available following a run out with the reserves and Steve Williams could return after playing the full 90 minutes in the same match following a long-term thigh injury.
Parkinson will be boosted by the availability of another loanee, Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed, who has missed the last two matches with a groin strain.
Striker James Hanson faces a late fitness test as he is still struggling with a calf problem, while winger Jamie Devitt, on loan from Hull, is hoping for a recall to the starting line-up following his recovery from a hip injury.
Bulls see off Bantams
Hereford gained only their second win of the season with a 2-0 victory over fellow strugglers Bradford at Edgar Street.
Bradford had skipper Michael Flynn dismissed 11 minutes from time when he got a second booking for a foul on Harry Pell and from the resulting free-kick Steven Leslie fired Hereford in front before Tom Barkhuizen wrapped up the points.
The visitors started well with Craig Fagan heading a cross from Jamie Devitt over the crossbar in the second minute.
Flynn also rifled a 25-yard shot wide of the Hereford post in a counter attack.
Hereford eventually responded with Leslie drilling a 30-yard drive against the Bradford crossbar before Marcel Seip cleared the rebound.
In another counter attack Fagan had a gilt-edged chance to break the deadlock, but guided his shot over the crossbar with only goalkeeper David Cornell to beat.
Back came Hereford with Pell heading into the arms of Duke while Joe Heath headed wide from close range.
Cornell, however, was forced to save from Devitt as Bradford swept forward before the break.
After the restart Hereford created several chances before the deadlock was eventually broken by Leslie whose powerful free-kick gave Matt Duke no chance in the Bradford goalmouth.
Although Bradford tried hard to get back onto level terms, Hereford struck again with two minutes remaining.
Barkhuizen latched onto a loose ball in front of goal before beating Duke from six yards.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
