Townsend back for Bulls
Hereford welcome back Michael Townsend into contention for Friday's visit of Accrington.
The defender missed United's Boxing Day defeat to Port Vale due to a one-match suspension and is set to be recalled straight back into Jamie Pitman's starting XI.
Benoit Dalibard and Ryan Green formed a makeshift central defensive partnership against Vale and Pitman, disappointed by his side's inability to close games out after taking the lead, may also be tempted to throw in fit-again skipper Stefan Stam.
The Dutchman returned to the bench against Vale having only had a couple of training sessions since making his comeback from six weeks out with a knee problem, although a further week of training may convince Pitman the influential defender is ready.
Midfielder Joe Colbeck has now now fully recovered from his knee injury, starting against the Valiants on Boxing Day.
Accrington will be without Luke Joyce as he serves the second game of his three-match suspension.
Joyce received a straight red card in the recent victory over Torquay and is one of the few blemishes on the squad available to boss John Coleman.
Fellow midfielder Ian Craney has resumed full training following his broken leg and could be fit to take a place on the bench, although defender Alan Burton remains on the sidelines after a double hernia operation.
Stanley make the trip to Edgar Street on the back of four consecutive wins and are in the midst of a seven-match unbeaten run - a record Coleman is not ready to give up any time soon.
"I don't think we've had four league wins on the spin since we won the Conference and I think we ended up winning about eight or nine then so it'd be great to try and do that again," he told Accrington's official website.
"We've been a little bit more clinical recently and we're certainly taking a higher percentage of chances, even though we aren't making as many of them. The next step now is to make more chances and score more goals while keeping them out at the other end."
Evans salvages point for Stanley
Accrington fought back to earn a well deserved 1-1 draw against struggling Hereford at Edgar Street.
Frenchman Yoann Arquin's fifth-minute strike was cancelled out in the second-half by Accrington substitute Micah Evans.
Hereford goalkeeper Adam Bartlett dropped the ball at the feet of Evans who converted from close range.
Hereford swept into an early lead when Arquin latched onto a cross from Ryan Green before driving the ball past Ian Dunbavin from just inside the penalty area.
Accrington responded with Bryan Hughes driving a fierce free kick at Bartlett, who turned it around the post for a corner.
Bartlett also saved from Jayden Stockley before Hereford's Tom Barkhuizen curled a 25-yard free-kick past the post.
On the stoke of half time, Dunbavin made a save to deny Hereford a second when he saved a low shot from full-back Ryan Green.
Dunbavin was in action again, saving a goal-bound header from Rob Purdie from a Barkhuizen corner.
Barkhuizen also had an effort saved in the 60th minute, but Accrington rallied with midfielder Andrew Proctor drilling a 20-yard shot inches over the crossbar.
Stanley, however, eventually levelled after 72 minutes when Bartlett dropped a cross from Sean Hessey at the feet of Evans, who bundled it over the line.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
