As you were for in-form Pools Hartlepool manager Mick Wadsworth has no fresh injury concerns as his side entertain Bury. Pools are looking to secure their third win on the trot and extend their club record unbeaten run to eight games. Captain Sam Collins is expected to return to the starting line-up after fully recovering from a hamstring strain. The central defender, who last started a game on August 20 against Stevenage, was introduced from the bench in last week's win at Carlisle. Left-back Evan Horwood has missed the last two games with a dead-leg and is not expected to recover in time to face the Shakers. Striker James Brown, yet to make a start this season due to an ankle problem, is unwell and unlikely to feature. Bury boss Richie Barker will be without defender Efe Sodje. Sodje is suspended after collecting five yellow cards, but Barker has no fresh injury concerns. Midfielder Steven Schumacher will return to full training on Monday and then play in a reserve game on Wednesday. Defender Mark Hughes is a week behind Schumacher in terms of recovery and also remains sidelined as the Shakers seek to record only their third league win of the season. The 1-0 reverse at Chesterfield on Tuesday condemned the Shakers to a fourth straight defeat and left Barker cursing his team's lack of fortune. He said: "We've got a lot of young players in the dressing room and they need to come through it pretty quickly."

Match Report

Pools cruise past Shakers Hartlepool made it eight games without defeat this season after a comfortable 3-0 win over Bury at Victoria Park. The struggling visitors have now lost seven successive games in league and cup. Pools created the first chance after 34 seconds, Gary Liddle denied by some last-ditch defending and they proceeded to take control of the game. Adam Boyd headed onto the roof of the net in the 17th minute before the hosts took the lead with 36 minutes gone courtesy of Nolberto Solano's first goal for the club. The former Newcastle winger skirted through challenges on the edge of the box and produced a low finish - the highlight of an accomplished performance. Pools' second came six minutes after half-time, Colin Nish prodding home from 10 yards at the second attempt. The Scottish striker headed against the underside of the bar from a Solano cross, but was soon celebrating his second. Nish robbed defender Andrai Jones, and confidently rolled in from close range. Bury's best chance came when defender Joe Skarz headed over from six yards.
