Accies wait on Canning Hamilton are hoping Martin Canning passes a fitness test ahead of the visit of Dundee. The defender has a thigh injury but could be available as Billy Reid's side look to pick up their first win in three games. Goalkeeper Tomas Cerny and midfield pair Alex Neil and Kyle Wilkie are still out injured. But Accies go into the contest boosted by their performance in the 3-2 defeat by Raith Rovers last weekend. "I am still frustrated at how we lost that one," said Reid. "Our application was great and the players deserved more. Hopefully we can take that into a tough game against Dundee and get back to winning ways." Dundee midfielder Ross Chisholm could be absent after picking up a knock in midweek. The Dens Park side have leapt from bottom spot to third place, but manager Barry Smith insists only one thing in his side's game has changed. Smith said: "Our performance levels are the same as they have been all season but the difference is that we are taking our chances at a far higher rate. "We will need to do that again to get anything at Hamilton, as they will come out determined to beat us to make up for two defeats in a row."

Dee hit Accies for six Steven Milne scored a hat-trick as Dundee recorded a thumping 6-1 win at Hamilton. Milne got Dundee's first after 21 minutes, latching on to Stephen O'Donnell's centre to prod home. He got his second 15 minutes later with a thunderous volley from a Gary Irvine long ball. O'Donnell got Dundee's third five minutes before half-time with an unstoppable shot into the top corner. Milne completed his hat-trick just after the restart, neatly finishing after good work from Jake Hyde. The fifth came after 70 minutes, Milne turning provider for Nicholas Riley who smashed home from close range, and Gavin Rae hit Dundee's sixth 10 minutes later, hammering his shot into the top corner. Hamilton grabbed a consolation four minutes from time thanks to a curler from Douglas Imrie.
