After the game Arsene Wenger fired a warning to Manchester United ahead of Sunday's Premiership clash between the two sides.

He said: "It was an important to win so that we will go there (Old Trafford) knowing we can win games.

"I feel we will see a very interesting game on Sunday. It is good to get the players back fit and feeling confident."

Speaking about the Hamburg game, he added: "It was an important result but the performance was difficult to rate because they had a man sent off.

"It would have been a very interesting game had it remained 11 against 11.

"After the red card our urgency dropped a little and for as long as we didn't score a second goal the game wasn't over."
